Treble Choir is a 36-voice treble ensemble made up of students in grades 9-12. Students in this ensemble meet four times a week and receive an individual or small group lesson once a week. There has been a treble choir at Central since 1917. Singers in Treble Choir learn numerous skills through various experiences - much of what they focus on is: vocal health, styles of music from all eras, world languages, musical independence, working as a team and as an individual, sight reading, stage presence, and discipline. Students will also learn the importance of their contribution in preparing performances and gain an appreciation of the process involved in creating musical excellence.
Treble Choir is under the direction of Ian Schultz and accompanied by Alethia Kenworthy and Kim Shively.
