Positive Results Center (PRC) has been committed to creating awareness to strengthen, educate and safeguard children, families and the community on the intersections of violence from a cultural and age perspective. PRC hosts Healing Through Trauma, a group based activity, arts-based awareness and prevention program targeting Black/African American youth, K-12th, young adults (8-25), and families, including those who identify as LGBTQQTIA, are at-risk, and low income to address inter-generational violence, abuse, racism, sexism and misogyny, and the resulting trauma for historically marginalized and under-served communities of color.

Watts Rising is a collaborative of Watts residents, 40+ organizations, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, the Mayor's Office, and Council District 15 committed to improving the quality of life in Watts. In 2019, the Watts Rising Collaborative was awarded a $33.25 million Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Grant from the California's Strategic Growth Council (SGC), and additionally leveraged over $160 million to fund community- identified infrastructure projects. With continued, vibrant community input, leadership and participation, the Watts Rising Collaborative will implement 24 infrastructure projects by 2024 that will: 1) expand urban agriculture and access to healthy
organic produce; 2) provide more affordable and sustainable housing; 3) increase low- and no- carbon transportation options; 4) increase community green space; 5) expand our tree canopy; and 6) make our streets safer for walking and biking.
