The page is intended for use by schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to access the materials for the professional development series on the NSBECS (National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Elementary and Secondary Catholic Schools). Click here for the NCEA NSBECS website.

Background: In collaboration with all CA dioceses, a series of professional development sessions have been designed to introduce principals and teachers to the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools (NSBECS). This is of particular importance this year as WCEA is in the final stages of developing a new accreditation protocol aligned to the NSBECS. Therefore, all CA diocesan offices are facilitating these professional development sessions with their schools this school year. In the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, these sessions are being facilitated with elementary schools during the 2021-2022 school year.

For ADLA elementary schools, the NSBECS professional development sessions will be facilitated by the Excellence and Faith Committees on a monthly basis at the ES deanery meetings. After the deanery meetings, ES principals are asked to facilitated the session with their faculty. All required materials will be linked in the chart below on a monthly basis.
