Outside of the first world, Android mobile devices are popular. They may not, however, come with Google Play Store installed.
A method that enables getting Google Play (on the way to installing Google Workspace apps) is suggested:
Installing F-Droid and then Aurora Store
Unvalidated is the a suspicion that, On Huawei App Gallery, installing Gbox (a repackaging of microG) does not include a reliable Google Chat.
After the Google Workspace has been installed, follow the instructions on Google-Platform > Onto Android or Chromebook devices
F-Droid is a catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform.
Most users will download the F-Droid apk, and launch that, acknowledging the Android warning that the app can be trusted.
Advanced users may sideload F-Droid.

On F-Droid, the Aurora Store is available.
Logging into Google Play with your lab.csrp.institute account is a preferred option. Anonymous installations are possible, but may be slowed down by Google as unidentified APIs are considered a risk.

David Ing has not tested GBox, but has previously installed microG. The full set of Google Workspace apps (particularly with Google Chat) may not be reliable.
