2018-19


Reading goal: My goal for T1 in Reading is to remember what I read when I am reading to myself. I will achieve this goal by looking for text evidence a little harder and read the chapeter/book twice.

Writing goal: My goal for T1 in Writing is to use better words to discribe what I am saying. I will achieve this goal by rereading my pharagraph and find words that I used a lot or can be more discrptive.

Math goal: My goal for T1 in Math is Adding and subtracting mixed numbers and improper fractions. I will achieve this goal by Completing practice problems.

Content goal: My goal for T1 in Content is ____________. I will achieve this goal by_______________________.

Reading

I wanted to put this in my portfolio because we had to turn the story " The Snake Haired Monster" into a modern day myth, and it took a good amount of time until we were finished then when we were finished we got to read it aloud and it turned out very well.

I chose my lit circle reading log because I like how we have to read the same book every night because when I get to chose my own book at home, I usually don't finish the book and I like how we have to read a certain number of pages a night and do a worksheet that goes with it.

I chose my Unit 1 Week 5 reading test because I wanted to show that I was able to determind words by their definition and I can identify the main idea.

Glaciar Bay National Park

I chose my Glacier Bay National Park project because my group worked really hard on it, and I think we did a great job with explaining more about the topics, and we added great details.

Vocabulary B,N,J,K

I chose this vocabulary project because it taught me new words that I never new before, and it taught me the definitions of the new words that we learned.

Math

I chose my fraction test because it proves that I can add and subtract mixed numbers independintly and I have met my goal for T1

Hill, Natalie Quadrilateral Proporties

I chose this quarilateral project that I did because this was a google slide that I did all about quadrilaterals. We had to identify the characteristics about the quadrilaterals.

Hill, Natalie Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers

I chose this because we were identifing mixed numbers, improper fractions, and proper fractions, and I think that I can identify mixed numbers, improper fractions, and proper fractions.

Chocolate Valcano Cake Adjusting a Recipe Collaborative Project

I chose the Valcano Cake recipe because we had to think of ways to double and triple fractions without multiplying and there was a lot of steps until you were done with the project.

I chose this because I think I can find equivelent fractions, and compare fractions with different numerators and denominators.

Writing

Hill, Natalie Service dog jobs

I chose my service dog writing piece because we had to reasearch the questions that we had about service dogs. Then we put it into a google doc and we had to write at least five pharagraphs and when it was finished I thought it turned out very well.

I chose this because a few weeks after the first day of school we did an interview with a partner. We had to ask them questions that we came up with than we put them in a team google slide.

Content

I chose my barge project because it held about 20-30 paperclips before it sunk. I think tht we could have done better with this because we could have made it bigger so it would not sink.

Genius Hour

I chose my genious hour project because I worked really hard on it. When we presented it I felt proud of my self because I thought it was a really good creation that I made.
