Christmas Break
On Christmas break I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends and family. I went to the movie theater to see "The Nutcracker" in Kendig Square. The movie was way different than the regular Nutcracker. Then for Christmas I got tickets to a Carrie Underwood Concer, an Ozobot Evo, Bloxles, an indoor mini basketball hoop, Redskins fuzzy socks, an IPad, and a lot more. On the twenty seventh and the twenty eighth I had a basketball tournement. The first day we played four games. we played threee back to back. Sunday we played three games. We had to win the first game to go to the chamionship game and we won. When we went into the chamionship game we won the first game but it was double eliminaton and we tied with the braket scores so we had to play again and we won the whole thing. When we had the award cerimony we all thought where we would put it and we thought of putting it in the school and that is where it probaly is going to go. For New Years Eve I went to my friend's house and had dinner and made gingerbread houses. After New Years Eve I went to Sky Zone with one of my friends and we stayed there for two hours.
How to Round Decimals
When you are rounding decimals you first want to read the decimal outloud so it makes sence or read it to yourself. Than you will want to look at the tenths. If the tenths place is a five or higher you will want to round up, but if the tenths place is four or lower you will want to round down. If you are doing it with hundreths and thousandths you will do the same thing.
How to Comapre Decimals
When you are comparing decimals you want to start out with looking if it has a whole number. If it has a whole number you will want to see if it is bigger than the other whole number, if it is the same you wil want to look at the tenths place. If it lower than the other tenths value, you will want to put the less than symbol.
The last few days we had parent visitation and Halloween STEM projects. For the parent visitation stem project we had to make a tower to hold text books and the Halloween STEM project was we had to make a "bone bridge" and a "bug catcher".
Free Write-September 27, 2018
I can't wait for this weekend because I get to scrimage against other nook softball teams. The first team we play is Spooky Nook Green. During that game I will proboly play first base and outfield. This game will start at 4:30 but we have to be there around 3:30. We scrimage all the teams at Garet Field in Willow Street . The next team we scrimage is Spooky Nook Elite. During that game I will be pitching. It will start at 5:00. After thos games, we are having the whole team, coaches, and parents over to our house. My teammates will have a bonding time while the parents and coaches will talk and get to know the other parent more. I hope this weekend will be really fun.
Last week in math we learned a lot about triangles. In reading we did a lot of compare and contrast. We also made a slide show that we got to present on different state parks. My group did Glacier Bay National Park.

This week I learned about quadrilaterals. I learned about how a diagram could give you a lot of infomation about quadrilaterals.
Labor Day Weekend
This weekend for labor day I went to The Works in Reading. The Works is like a big arcade. I went with my Mom, Dad, my friend, and her parents. After that we had dinner at Red Robin. On Saturday we had a cookout at my friends house. We had hot dogs and hamburgers. Labor Day was so much fun.
What do you do with an idea was about a kid who kept seeing this egg with a crown following him so he kept letting it follow him and then one day the egg cracked and birds flew out. My groups invention was about the egg that cracked and became a bird. I chose this back round because i thought that it would be cool with the invention.

First Week Reflection
So far in fifth grade I liked how we got to design our class room. The one challenging thing about fifth grade was working as a group of six to think of ideas for the classroom. My favorite memory from last week was getting to know a lot of people and working together so we could desighn the classroom. Walkig into a classroom with no seats on the first day was suprising.
