🎉 Congratulations to our students for winning the championship in the Second Hong Kong Primary School Cybersecurity Quiz Competition on July 15th! Following last year's participation, our students have once again achieved remarkable success this year by standing out in the finals among the top 8 teams and securing the first place. During the competition, the students showed great enthusiasm and demonstrated excellent team spirit, deserving of praise and recognition. We are incredibly proud of you! 💪👏

本校英文辯論隊在本年度的香港中學英語辯論比賽（小學六年級組）中表現卓越。我們派出兩支小隊參賽，兩支小隊均在初賽中脫穎而出，成功晉級至決賽。最後一場決賽於7月2日舉行，最終，我們的英文辯論隊在第一及第二分組的比賽中分別榮獲冠軍🏆和亞軍🥈的佳績。🎉

🎊🏆Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition HKSSDC （Primary Section）: Champion & First Runner-Up🏆🎊  3/7/2024 

Our English Debating Team shone in this year’s Hong Kong Secondary Schools English Debating Competition for the Primary P6 Division. We sent two teams to compete, both of which excelled in the preliminary rounds and successfully advanced to the finals. The final contest was held on July 2nd, culminating in our teams achieving first and second place in their respective groups, securing the championship 🏆 and runner-up 🥈 titles. 🎉

The team members include: 6E Lee Tsun Hei, 6E Li Jenny, 6E Lok Pak Hei, 6E Tse Chi Lan, 6E Wan Pui Yee, 6E Zhou Alfred, and 6E Zhang Yiran.

During the “Bank of China 2nd Youth Development Programme - All Primary School Fencing Competition” held on June 29th and 30th, our fencing team made their first appearance at the AsiaWorld-Expo, competing with nearly 1600 primary school students from all over Hong Kong. The participants were both excited and nervous, gaining invaluable experience and igniting their passion for fencing. ❤️‍🔥 We are grateful to the parents who supported their children throughout the competition, cheering for our team members. 🥳

Our students participated in the Hong Kong Battle of the Books (Modified Primary) English reading competition on June 27 and 28, and won third place. During the competition, the team members demonstrated great teamwork and did not give up even when faced with very challenging questions. Through their collective efforts, they solved one difficult problem after another, fully displaying their perseverance and resilience.

在第76屆香港學校音樂節中，本校共有54位學生參與比賽，包括鋼琴 42人、結他 3人、聲樂 3人、圓號 1人、小提琴 2人、中提琴 1人及大提琴2人。

🎊獲得獎項包括：🥇金獎2項、🥈銀獎32項、🥉銅獎17項。其中，有3位學生在小組賽中獲得季軍。

🎊在團體賽事方面，我們學校的高年級和低年級合唱團分別在13歲或以下和9歲或以下的小學合唱團類別中獲得🥉銅獎；木笛隊的兩支隊伍均獲得🥈銀獎。

🎉🎼76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival🎼🎉  21/6/2024 

In the 76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, our school was represented by 54 students, including 42 in piano, 3 in guitar, 3 in vocal, 1 in French horn, 2 in violin, 1 in viola, and 2 in cello.

🎊Awards won include: 🥇 2 gold medals, 🥈 32 silver medals, and 🥉 17 bronze medals, with 3 students also securing third place in their groups.

🎊In team competitions, our school’s senior and junior choirs won 🥉bronze medals in the under 13 and under 9 primary school choir categories, respectively; both of our recorder teams received 🥈silver medals.

These outstanding results showcase our students’ hard work and talent! ✨ Congratulations to all the award-winning students! 🥳

💦常識百科校隊參觀水資源中心💦  4/6/2024 

本科常識百科校隊於 3 月 21 日參觀水資源中心 –「水知園」。在導賞員的講解下，同學了解到淡水資源的珍貴、香港的供水歷史、食水運輸的過程和節約用水的方法等。同學並化身「淡水專家」，對不同範疇的淡水知識進行探究，在課堂上與同學分享。

💦Visiting H2O Public Education Centre💦  4/6/2024

On March 21st, the General Studies Knowledge Masters Team visited the H2O Public Education Centre -The H2OPE Centre. Guided by the tour guide, students gained insights into the importance of freshwater resources, Hong Kong's water supply history, the process of water transportation, and methods for water conservation. Students transformed into 'Freshwater Experts', exploring various aspects of freshwater knowledge and sharing their findings with classmates during the lessons.

我們於 5 月 18 日下午舉行了一年一度的學校周年匯演。此次匯演歷時兩小時，共有九個精彩節目，包括管弦樂隊、音樂創藝班、高年級合唱團、低年級合唱團、木笛隊、芭蕾舞隊、兒童舞隊、中國舞隊及英語音樂劇。每個節目都充分展示了學生們的多樣才華和辛勤付出，讓觀眾深深感受到他們的自信與熱情。這些表演不僅體現了學生們在藝術方面的卓越成就，還反映了他們在團隊合作和堅毅精神方面的成長。感謝所有參與和支持此次匯演的人士，期待未來與大家共同見證學生們更多的進步和成就。

🎤  School Annual Performance💃🏻  18/5/2024 

We held our annual school performance on the afternoon of May 18. The event lasted two hours and featured nine fantastic programs, including the orchestra, music creativity class, senior choir, junior choir, recorder ensemble, ballet troupe, children’s dance troupe, Chinese dance troupe, and English musical.
Each performance showcased the diverse talents and hard work of our students, leaving the audience deeply impressed by their confidence and enthusiasm. These brilliant performances not only demonstrated the students' exceptional achievements in the arts but also reflected their growth in teamwork and perseverance.
We appreciate all who participated and supported this event, and we look forward to witnessing more of our students' progress and accomplishments in the future.

🏆 'Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition' 9/5/2024 

 Congratulations to three Primary 4 students from our school for achieving third place in the 'Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition' on May 6th! 🎉

The competition was organized by NET Section from the EDB with the aim of improving students' public speaking skills. Our students successfully captured the attention of judges and audience members through their outstanding speech techniques and captivating content. They actively sought guidance, accepted challenges, and worked hard to improve their speaking and communication skills in preparation for the competition. They also demonstrated the spirit of teamwork throughout the competition.

教育營🌳⛺ 3/5/2024 

為期 3 天教育營已於 3 月 25 日至 27 日圓滿結束！一至三年級以日營形式，分別進行農業體驗、探索動植物及了解環保與可持續發展的相關活動。四至六年級的 3 日 2 夜教育營分別在曹公譚、長洲及林村的營地舉行。讓學生在課堂之外體驗多元化活動，增進他們自我認知及自我管理能力，同時提升團隊精神和豐富了他們的學習經歷，以達至全人發展。

Educational Camp 🌳⛺  3/5/2024

The three-day educational camp concluded successfully from March 25th to 27th! Primary 1 to Primary 3 students participated in day camps, engaging in activities such as agricultural experiences, exploring plants and animals, and learning about environmental conservation and sustainable development. For Primary 4 to Primary 6, the three-day, two-night camp took place in the campgrounds of Tso Kung Tam, Cheung Chau, and Lam Tsuen. These experiences provided students with diverse activities outside the classroom, enhancing their self-awareness and self-management skills while fostering teamwork and enriching their learning journey, aiming for holistic development.

🌠營燈下的親子閱讀黃昏營 📚 3/5/2024 

我們與家長教師會聯手在 3 月 16 日呈獻一個特具特色的親子閱讀黃昏營活動，為學生及其家庭帶來了一晚充滿歡笑與學習的精彩時光。當晚，學生們不僅跟隨著皮影戲的節奏踏入一個奇幻世界，還參與了一場創意無限的尋蛋小圖書製作活動，親手將靈感化為獨一無二的小書。更加精彩的是，帳幕下的親子共讀時光與溫馨的共晉晚餐，讓這個夜晚轉化為家庭間難忘的美好記憶。

🌠 Twilight Reading Camp Under the Lanterns 📚  3/5/2024

In collaboration with the Parent-Teacher Association, we presented a unique Family Reading Twilight Camp on March 16th, bringing a night filled with laughter and learning to our students and their families. Throughout the evening, students not only stepped into a fantastical world with the rhythm of shadow puppetry but also engaged in a creative egg-hunt book-making activity, turning inspiration into unique handmade books. Even more splendidly, the shared reading time under the tent and a cozy dinner with families transformed this night into an unforgettable memory.

🏫 紐西蘭校長訪港團到校參觀及交流 🌏🤝 27/3/2024 

3月19日，我們接待了來自「環球青少年大使計劃」的紐西蘭校長訪港團，進行了一次文化交流活動。我們的學生化身為專業的小大使，帶領著來訪的紐西蘭校長們深入校園的每一角落，學生們的自信和熱情得到了來賓的高度讚揚，也讓這段跨文化的旅程充滿了溫暖和歡笑。這次國際交流的經歷，不僅拓寬了學生們的視野，更在提高他們的應變能力及增強與不同文化背景人士溝通的自信。

🏫 New Zealand Principals' Visit to Hong Kong for School Tour and Exchange 🌏🤝  27/3/2024

On March 19th, we had the honor of hosting a delegation of principals from New Zealand, visiting under the "Global Youth Ambassadors Program," for a cultural exchange activity. Our students, acting as professional junior ambassadors, guided the visiting New Zealand principals through every corner of our campus. The confidence and enthusiasm demonstrated by our students were highly praised by our guests, making this cross-cultural journey filled with warmth and laughter. This international exchange experience not only broadened our students' horizons but also played a significant role in enhancing their adaptability and confidence in communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds.

在 3 月 9 日，我們學校參加了「香港學校戲劇節」，帶來了《花木蘭》的精彩演出。通過音樂劇的形式，我們的小演員們生動地呈現了花木蘭面對挑戰和壓力時的成長故事。他們用細膩的演技讓我們深入這個充滿情感與戰爭考驗的古老故事中。當日，我們邀請了家長和學生共同觀看這場表演，不僅讓他們體驗到這個神奇的世界，同時也向他們傳達了面對困難時追求夢想和堅持信念的重要性。

On March 9, 2024, our school participated in the "Hong Kong School Drama Festival," presenting a captivating performance of "Mulan." Through the medium of a musical, our young actors vividly brought to life Mulan's story of growth in the face of challenges and pressure. Their nuanced acting skills deeply immersed us in this ancient tale filled with emotional depth and the harsh realities of war. On the day, we invited parents and students to watch this performance together, not only transporting them to a magical world but also conveying the importance of pursuing dreams and holding onto beliefs when facing difficulties.

為了豐富學習體驗，我們組織三年級學生參觀香港科學館。此次活動讓學生們親身體驗科學的魅力，通過參觀互動展覽，他們探索了物理、化學、生物等多個科學領域的基本原理和現象。這次實地學習不僅加深了學生對科學概念的理解，也激發了他們對科學探索的熱情，幫助他們將課本知識與現實世界相連接。

To enrich our students' learning experience, we arranged for our P3 students to visit the Hong Kong Science Museum. This activity allowed them to immerse themselves in the wonders of science, exploring basic principles and phenomena across various fields such as physics, chemistry, and biology through interactive exhibitions. This field trip not only deepened their understanding of scientific concepts but also sparked their enthusiasm for scientific inquiry, helping them connect textbook knowledge with the real world.

🤖 2024 VEX IQ 機械人世界錦標賽香港資格賽-如一盃 🤖  26/2/2024 

2月24日，本校學生於香港機械人協會主辦的「VEX IQ機械人挑戰賽」中再創佳績，獲得了主辦機構所頒發「Sportsmanship Award」。一眾參賽同學在這次比賽過程中面對重重困難，但他們憑着堅毅不屈的精神，把困難一一克服，主辦機構為我們在機械人設計、編程和比賽過程中的努力給予了肯定及鼓勵。

🤖 2024 VEX IQ Robotics World Championship Hong Kong Qualifying Tournament - As One Cup 🤖   26/2/2024 

On February 24th, students from our school achieved outstanding results at the VEX IQ Robotics Challenge hosted by the Hong Kong Robotics Association, winning the "Sportsmanship Award" granted by the organizing body. Facing numerous challenges throughout the competition, our students demonstrated resilience and perseverance, overcoming each obstacle with determination. The organizing body recognized and encouraged our efforts in robot design, programming, and competition processes.

🐦 參觀米埔自然保護區「小鳥的故事」🦅 7/2/2024 

2月7日，本校學生參加由世界自然基金會所舉辦的米埔自然保護區「小鳥的故事」教育活動，扮演正在遷移的黑臉琵鷺，在旅途中，學生明白保護濕地生境的重要，同時間認識生態足印，了解如何實踐可持續的生活模式。

🐦 Visiting the Mai Po Nature Reserve: "The Story of Little Birds" 🦅  7/2/2024 

On February 7th, students  participated in the educational activity "The Story of Little Birds" organized by the World Wildlife Fund at the Mai Po Nature Reserve. They had the opportunity to role-play as the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill during its migratory journey. Through this experience, students gained an understanding of the importance of protecting wetland habitats and simultaneously learned about their ecological footprint and how to practice sustainable living.

On February 1st, the members of the Knowledge Masters Team embarked on a visit to the WEEE-Park located in Tuen Mun Environmental Park. On January 27th, in collaboration with our Parent-Teacher Association, we successfully organized a family trip to a theme park. During this event, students, parents, and teachers together enjoyed the various attractions within the park. This activity served not only as a family outing but also as a great opportunity for interaction between teachers and students. Teachers and students participated in numerous fun games and rides, enhancing mutual understanding and closeness. On January 23rd, even though the weather forced us to hold our school sports day indoors, our students' enthusiasm and active participation were undiminished. They took part in various activities such as standing long jump, floor curling, and dodge disc, showcasing not just their athletic abilities but also their strong team spirit. Recognizing the importance of parental involvement, we provided a live stream of the cheerleading competitions, complemented by an online voting system for parents to support their favorite teams. On January 19th, a group of our P4 students stepped out of the classroom and into a kindergarten for a service learning project. They introduced the young children to a board game designed around the theme of healthy living. Demonstrating the rules in their own unique ways, they encouraged the kindergarten kids to join in the fun. This interaction was not only a source of joy and excitement for the little ones but also a platform for our P4 students to showcase their creativity and design skills. Through this activity, our students had the opportunity to personally present the board game they had designed and made, while imparting the message of healthy living to the younger children during the course of the game.

在本學年，我們的小六學生再次有機會參加由十八鄉鄉事委員會公益社中學舉辦的IT精英培訓班。這個課程讓學生接觸到3D模型製作、編程程式以及資訊科技應用等基礎技能。

This year, our P6 students had the enriching opportunity to join the IT Elite Training Program once more, hosted by the Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Secondary School. The program provided them with a foundational exposure to various IT skills, including 3D modelling, programming, and practical applications of information technology.
This training not only broadened their technological knowledge but also enhanced their problem-solving capabilities. The award ceremony on January 13th was not only a recognition of their achievements but also a testament to this invaluable learning experience.

On December 16th, Our school students have won the "Best Rookie Team Award" at the VEX IQ Robotics Challenge organized by the Hong Kong Robotics Association. This award recognizes and encourages the efforts of our participating students in robot design, programming, and the competition process. The students who competed on the day include Kwok Yik Him (5E), Lai Yin Hei (6D), Tsang Yiu Mak (6D), Chan Ho Hin (6D), Lau Ching Shun (6E), and Lau Wing Ki (6E). To commemorate the important 100th day milestone of our Primary One students at KYS, we organised a grand "Primary One 100th Day" event on 12 December. Parents and children were able to celebrate this moment of growth together joyfully.
The day's activities were highly enriching. Parents witnessed their progress with immense pride and joy.
Teachers also engaged in fun interactive games with students and families. It was a delightful celebration where all immersed themselves fully. Moreover, the young students presented their parents with flower bouquets and thank you cards, expressing heartfelt gratitude. This touching gesture overwhelmed everyone present with love and appreciation.
This meaningful "Primary One 100th Day" not only strengthened home-school connections but also familial bonds. Student CHAN Sum Yau (4E) won the second prize in the "From the Heart" Greeting Card Design Competition. The competition, organised by the "Yuen Long District Family Life Education Promotion Campaign Working Group," was themed around "Gratitude." Chan's work beautifully combined graphics and text to express gratitude and love for family members.

To promote students' healthy development and cultivate a positive learning environment, the school arranged a "Move it, Move it" activity for students during break time. This included experiences with fencing, golf, floor curling frisbee nine square, bomb ball games, and jumping rope as well as interclass competitions. Through these lighthearted and lively activities, students were able to demonstrate their talents while cultivating teamwork, leadership skills, and positive values. The goal was to provide an enjoyable and beneficial break period that supported students' well-being.

為了協助學生做好升中的準備，我們學校舉辦了多種升中活動。這些活動包括參加香港管理專業協會羅桂祥中學、十八鄉鄉事委員會公益社中學的開放日，以及新界鄉議局元朗區中學的尖子生分享會等，提供學生深入了解不同中學的特色和教學環境的機會。此外，我們還邀請了元朗商會中學和十八鄉鄉事委員會公益社中學的校長來到學校進行簡介會，讓學生和家長能直接與中學校長和教師交流，進一步了解各校的特色和教學理念。
另外，為了幫助學生在升中面試中爭取理想的表現，我們從 12 月 4 日開始，安排由英文科教師和外籍教師帶領學生進行模擬面試訓練。這樣可以讓學生更熟悉面試流程，增強他們的自信心和應對能力。

 
👨🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓 Enhancing Secondary School Transition: Comprehensive Preparation Programs at KYS 👨🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓 5/12/2023

To assist our students in preparing for secondary school, our school has organized a variety of activities aimed at facilitating this transition. These activities include participation in open days at The Hong Kong Management Association K S Lo College and SPHRC Kung Yik She Secondary School, as well as the Elite Sharing Session at N.T. Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School. These events provide our students with opportunities to gain an in-depth understanding of the distinct characteristics and teaching environments of various secondary schools. Furthermore, we have invited principals from Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School and SPHRC Kung Yik She Secondary School to conduct introductory sessions at our school. This arrangement allows both students and parents to interact directly with secondary school principals and teachers, enhancing their understanding of each school's unique features and educational philosophies.
Additionally, to help students excel in secondary school interviews, starting from December 4, 2023, our English teachers and foreign instructors will lead mock interview training sessions. This initiative is designed to familiarize students with the interview process, thereby boosting their confidence and response capabilities.

From November 27th to December 1st, our school conducted the Curriculum Integration Week, centered on the theme of Acquaintance with Well-Being. On November 25, our student leaders embarked on an enriching leadership training experience at the FHL Adventure Education Centre. They participated in a variety of activities including net climbing, rock climbing, and adventure training, which were not only physically challenging but also instrumental in teaching the importance of courage, teamwork, and self-improvement. On November 11 at the '2023 Hong Kong Primary Mathematics Competition', organized by Shung Tak Catholic English College, our student exhibited outstanding performance. Congratulations to 6E LEUNG Yat Hin for excelling among 150 participants and winning the Gold Medal🏅, securing the top position.

On November 11th, our school students participated in the Hong Kong Golf Open Tour held at the Fanling Golf Course. This guided tour not only allowed the students to experience the sport of golf firsthand but also provided them with the opportunity to watch an international-level tournament. It further enhanced their understanding and interest in golf. 

⛳  本校學生出席香港高爾夫球隊杭州亞運祝捷會 8/11/2023
本校榮獲中國香港高爾夫球協會的邀請，共 100 名學生於 11 月 6 日前往香港體育學院，參加香港高爾夫球隊杭州亞運祝捷會。此次活動為我們學生提供了一次難得的機會，讓他們增加了對高爾夫球運動的了解及興趣。透過與杭州亞運個人賽金牌得主許龍一以及其他得獎運動員的交流，也讓他們了解到運動員運動員不懈努力的背後故事，感受到運動員的堅毅精神。每位參與當天活動的學生還獲贈了由獲獎運動員親筆簽名的高爾夫球帽和照片，作為紀念品。

⛳ Victory Celebration for the Hong Kong, China Golf Team at the Asian Games 8/11/2023
Our school had the honor of being invited by the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China, with 100 of our students participating in the celebration at the Hong Kong Sports Institute on 6 November. This event offered our students a rare chance to enhance their understanding of and interest in golf. They had the opportunity to engage with Taichi Kho, the individual event gold medalist at the Hangzhou Asian Games, and other distinguished athletes, gaining insights into the athletes' unwavering dedication and the resilient spirit of sportsmanship. Each student who attended the event also received a golf cap and a photograph signed by the athletes, serving as a cherished memento of this inspiring experience.

🎃  英文科多元文化活動日：萬聖節英語活動 8/11/2023
10月31日，我們舉辦了英文科多元文化活動日，主題為萬聖節英語活動。學生們參與了各種英語學習活動，包括萬聖節寫作和繪畫、萬聖節繞口令比賽、萬聖節英語歌曲合唱、萬聖節故事閱讀和問答遊戲、萬聖節手工藝以及萬聖節「時裝表演」。這些活動大大提升了學生們學習英語的興趣，同時加深了他們對多元文化的認識。

🎃  Multicultural Activity Day: Halloween English Activities 8/11/2023
On October 31st, our school organized the Multicultural Activity Day: Halloween English Activities. Students participated in various English learning activities, including Halloween writing and drawing activities, Halloween tongue twister competitions, Halloween English sing-along activities, Halloween story reading and Q&A games, Halloween crafts, and Halloween ‘Fashion Show’. These activities significantly enhanced students’ interest in learning English while deepening their understanding of multiculturalism.
On October 31st, our school came alive with the spirit of Halloween as we celebrated our Multicultural Activity Day. Students dived into a variety of English language activities designed to be both fun and educational. They showcased their creativity in Halloween-themed writing and drawing, twisted their tongues with Halloween tongue twisters, sang along to English Halloween tunes, and engaged with stories during our reading and interactive Q&A games. The day was also filled with hands-on fun with Halloween crafts and a festive 'Fashion Show' that allowed students to parade their costumes. These activities were a fantastic way to boost our students' interest in English and provide them with a glimpse into the rich tapestry of global cultures.

在 10 月舉行的本屆元朗區小學校際乒乓球賽中，本校乒乓球隊獲得以下獎項，包括女子團體殿軍(3B劉芷澄、5B劉蕙枝、6B黃佩玲、6E左若熙)、女子單打殿軍(6E左若熙)及傑出運動員獎(6B黃佩玲)。

In the Yuen Long District Inter-Primary School Table Tennis Competition held this October, our school's table tennis team garnered several awards. These include the third runner-up in the girls' team event (3B Lau Tsz Ching, 5B Lau Wai Chi, 6B Wong Pui Ling, 6E Zuo Ruoxi), the girls' singles third runner-up (6E Zuo Ruoxi), and the Outstanding Athlete Award (6B Wong Pui Ling).

在 10 月 19 日，本校各年級學生分別前往大澳、大埔海濱公園、香港海洋公園學院以及龍尾灘等共 6 個不同地點，進行以「人與自然環境」為主題的戶外學習活動。此活動不僅旨在培養學生的共通能力和團隊精神，更深化了他們對人與自然環境相互關係的認識。

On October 19, students from various year levels at our school participated in outdoor learning activities at six different locations, including Tai O, Tai Po Waterfront Park, Hong Kong Ocean Park Academy, and Long Mei Beach. Centered around the theme of "Human and Natural Environment," these activities were designed to enhance students' generic skills and team spirit, as well as to deepen their understanding of the relationship between humans and the natural environment.

本校常識百科校隊於 10 月 12 日參觀了「綠在元朗」活動。除了參與回收廢物的活動外，學生們還參加了樹葉植物拓印工作坊。透過這次工作坊，學生們了解到落葉亦可用於創作藝術作品，從而更加珍惜植物資源。

📚 Knowledge Masters Team Visit: "Green @ Yuen Long" 30/10/2023

On October 12, our school's Knowledge Masters Team attended the "Green @ Yuen Long" event. In addition to participating in waste recycling activities, the students also engaged in a leaf imprinting workshop. Through this hands-on experience, they discovered that even fallen leaves can be transformed into artistic creations, thereby deepening their appreciation for the value of plant resources.

On October 10 and 11, our P4 students took part in the "Water Resources Battle" through a series of booth games. Acting as members of a water conservation team, the students participated in various activities that highlighted the importance of water resources. They also gained insights into practical ways to conserve water in their daily lives, thereby recognizing the need to safeguard this precious resource.

From August 23rd to 25th, we organised a three-day "Leaders of Tomorrow Experience Journey" as an orientation event for our incoming P1 students. Through a series of activities integrating our school's core values and P1 experiences, we aimed to help students gradually adapt to P1 campus life and thoroughly prepare them for the new academic year.

Visit the Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library 28/6/2023

P1 students were divided into groups to visit the Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library during the post-exam activity. With the guidance of the library director, the students were able to familiarise themselves with the facilities of the library and learn the proper etiquette when in a library. They also enjoyed a wonderful reading experience and together with their classmates, they explored the ocean of knowledge.

Students from P5 participated in a post-exam activity by visiting Tai Kwun . The purpose of the trip was to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the conservation of Hong Kong's historic architecture and to appreciate contemporary art exhibitions. The students not only gained a deeper understanding of these topics, but also had their horizons broadened by the experience.

5月6日及5月20日，我們與家教會一同舉辦了兩場親子閱讀戶外日營，活動地點位於一座休閒農莊。這兩次日營中，學生和家長們共同參與了繪本工作坊和藍染工作坊。透過這些工作坊，孩子們在閱讀和創作的過程中，深入體驗並感受了大自然和文化的魅力。

On May 6th and May 20th, we collaborated with the Parent-Teacher Association to organize two Parent-Child Outdoor Reading Day Camps held at a leisure farm. During both camps, students and parents participated in a picture book workshop and an indigo dyeing workshop, allowing children to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of nature and culture through the process of reading and creating.

We would like to express our gratitude to the parents of KYS for attending our "Annual Variety Show  - Parent Session" held on the evening of May 19th. Together, we witnessed the fruits of our students' training.

The performance encompassed a diverse range of performances, including instrumental presentations, orchestral performances, senior and junior choirs, Chinese and Mandarin recitations, English recitations, flute ensemble, fencing team, ballet troupe, children's dance team, Chinese dance team, and an English musical. These captivating performances showcased the various talents of our students and the dedication they put into their endeavors, leaving us in awe of their confidence and abilities.

在 5月19日舉行的「周年匯演-家長場」，會有英語音樂劇隊的特別演出，我們歡迎家長們一同來見證學生的成長和進步。

💃🏻 Annual Variety Show - Student Priority Session 16/5/2023
On May 15th, we prepared the "Annual Variety Show - Student Session" for our students, with the aim to boost their self-confidence and team spirit, while showcasing their learning outcomes. Various activity groups participated in the performance that day, including the instrumental performance, the orchestra, the senior choir, the junior choir, Chinese recitation, Mandarin recitation, English recitation, the recorder team, the fencing team, the ballet team, the children's dance team, and the Chinese dance team. We are confident that this performance not only provided a chance for the students to display their talents but also an opportunity to experience the power of teamwork. Through mutual support and collaboration, they jointly created a wonderful performance.

At the "Annual Variety Show - Parent Session" to be held on May 19th, there will be a special performance by the English musical team. We warmly welcome parents to join us in witnessing the growth and progress of our students.

Our school is proud to announce that NG Cheuk Hang from 6B, LIN Yan Kak and CHAN Chi Shing from 6E have won the Champion, First Runner-up, and Second Runner-up respectively in the Snapshot Photography Competition organised by the Yuen Long Community Youth Club (CYC) under the Education Bureau. They attended the Committee's annual award ceremony on May 8th to accept their accolades. Additionally, our school was awarded the Active Participation Award in the 'Greening for the Chest: Charity Plant Sale' for this academic year.

母親節是向母親表達愛意和感激的特別節日。今年，我們在5月12日的活動中，學生們親手製作了心意卡，並送上美麗的康乃馨花，以表達對媽媽的感謝和愛。這項活動體現了學校核心價值-關愛(Love & Care)的實踐。通過這樣的活動，學生們學會了如何表達感激之情，同時也深刻體會到關愛和感恩的重要性。我們相信這樣的體驗能夠啟發學生們在日後的生活中持續關注身邊的人，讓愛和關懷繼續綻放。

🌷 Gratitude in Action 5/2023
Mother's Day is a special day to express love and gratitude to mothers. This year, during our activity on May 12, students made handmade cards and presented beautiful carnations to show their appreciation and love for their mothers. The activity embodies the school's core value of Love & Care in practice. Through this activity, students learn how to express gratitude and deeply appreciate the importance of caring and gratitude. We believe that this experience can inspire students to continue to care for those around them in their future lives and let love and care continue to flourish.

🏆 第七十五屆學校音樂節 (2023)  5/2023

第七十五屆學校音樂節 (2023) 已經結束，我們的學生在這次活動中共獲得1個金獎、32個銀獎和14個銅獎。在參賽者中，2E的黃懿絢、5E的胡卓琳和馮子涵在各自級別的鋼琴獨奏小組中都獲得了第三名。我們祝賀所有獲獎的學生。

🏆 75th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival (2023) 5/2023
The 75th School Music Festival (2023) has concluded, with our students achieving 1 gold award, 32 silver awards, and 14 bronze awards. Among them, WONG Yee Huen from 2E, WU Cheuk Lam and FENG Hans from 5E each secured third place in their respective Piano Solo categories. Congratulations to all the award-winning students.

📚 閲後創作──《我是小作家》小圖書設計比賽 5/2023

《我是小作家》小圖書設計比賽旨在培養學生閱讀書籍的興趣，提升他們的語言運用，並促進創新思維。學生先閱讀指定的電子書籍，然後寫一個故事或創作一個新的，並將其製作成小圖書。獲獎作品並已展示在圖書館外的展示板上，供老師和同學們欣賞這些小作家的創作成果。

📚 "Post-reading Creation" - "I am a Little Writer" Small Book Design Competition 5/2023
The "I am a Little Writer" mini book design competition is designed to inspire students' passion for reading, enhance their language skills, and encourage innovative thinking. Students first read the assigned e-books, then either write a story or create an entirely new one, transforming it into a mini book. The award-winning works have been displayed on the exhibition board outside the library for teachers and students can appreciate the works of the little writers.

🌿 一年級常識科實地學習：天水圍公園之旅 5/2023

5月初，我們的常識科教師帶領一年級學生前往天水圍公園進行實地學習。此次活動讓學生有機會親自認識公園的設施，欣賞各種不同的植物，將常識科的學習擴展到課堂之外，從而豐富他們的學習經歷。

🌿 Primary 1 General Studies Field Trip: Visit to Tin Shui Wai Park 5/2023
In early May, our General Studies teachers led the P1 students on a field trip to Tin Shui Wai Park. This activity provided students with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the park's facilities and appreciate the diversity of plants, thereby expanding their General Studies learning beyond the classroom and enriching their learning experiences.

🌠 太空館觀賞3D電影欣賞活動  5/2023

在5月5日的學科活動時段，我們的六年級學生前往香港太空館觀賞了3D球幕電影 —《星際航行者3D》。透過電影，學生們深入探索了不同星體的結構以及大自然的奧秘。電影放映結束後，學生們參觀了太空館的多個展覽，進一步擴展了他們的知識視野。

🌠 Visit Space Museum for 3D Film 5/2023  
On May 5th, during the academic activity period, our P6 students visited the Hong Kong Space Museum to watch the 3D dome film — "Voyager: the Never-Ending Journey 3D". The movie allowed them to delve into the structures of various celestial bodies and the mysteries of nature. Following the screening, the students toured several exhibitions at the Space Museum, further expanding their horizons of knowledge.

On April 28th, our school held an Easter English activity, which included Easter writing, drawing, and reading activities, an English tongue twister competition, Easter games, and handicraft creation. These activities aimed to provide students with a diverse English learning experience, enhance their interest in English learning, and promote understanding of multiculturalism.

🏆 第 2 學段頒獎典禮順利舉行  4/2023

4月18日及25日，本校分別為高低年級舉行了第2學段頒獎典禮，表揚在學業成績或全人發展方面有卓越表現或進步的學生。兩場典禮共有約350位家長出席，另有156位家長觀看視像直播，分享學生獲獎的喜悅。當天，校董和家長教師會代表擔任頒獎嘉賓，與大家一同見證同學們的成就。

🏆 Second Term Award Ceremonies Successfully Held 4/2023
On April 18th and 25th, our school held the second term award ceremonies for lower and upper grades, recognizing students who demonstrated outstanding performance or made progress in academic achievements or whole-person development. Approximately 353 parents attended the two ceremonies, with 156 parents watching the live video broadcast, sharing the joy of their children's awards. School board members and parent-teacher association representatives served as award-presenting guests, witnessing the students' achievements together with everyone.

喜閱同樂日已於4月13日圓滿結束，當天活動非常豐富，包括：閱讀圖書、觀賞劇團演出、閱讀活動、校園遊蹤、話劇活動、繪本設計等。活動旨在促進校園閱讀風氣，拓寬學生的閱讀面，培養學生的閱讀興趣及素養，並通過閱讀連繫學習，培養認識自我、個人規劃和反思的能力，培育學生正面的價值觀和態度。 

📚 Joyful Reading Day  4/2023
The Joyful Reading Day  was successfully concluded on April 13th. The day's activities were very diverse, including reading books, watching theater performances, participating in reading events, taking the campus reading trail, engaging in drama activities, and designing picture books. The event aimed to promote a reading culture on campus, broaden students' reading horizons, cultivate their interest and literacy in reading, and connect learning through reading. It also aimed to develop students' abilities to understand themselves, plan for their personal growth, reflect on their experiences, and cultivate positive values and attitudes.

為期三天的四至六年級教育營已於3月27日至29日圓滿結束！本次教育營分別在西貢、沙田及長洲的營地舉行，讓學生在課堂之外體驗多元化活動，增進他們自我認知及自我管理能力，同時提升團隊精神和豐富了他們的學習經歷，以達至全人發展。

Educational camps for P4 to P6 3/2023
The three-day educational camp for P4-P6 was successfully held from March 27th to 29th! The camp took place at different locations in Sai Kung, Sha Tin, and Cheung Chau, providing students with a variety of activities beyond the classroom. The event enhanced their self-awareness, self-management skills, and team spirit, enriching their learning experiences and contributing to their holistic development.

Outdoor Learning Activities for P1 to P3: Embrace the Wonders of Nature 3/2023
From March 27th to 29th, our school held outdoor learning activities for students in P1 to P3 at the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, as well as farms located in Yuen Long and Fanling. The activities aimed to enhance their self-awareness and provide opportunities to connect with nature while understanding the relationship between humans and the environment. In addition to learning about various plants and animals, students also had hands-on farming experiences. Let's explore the mysteries of nature together!

⛳️  香港高爾夫球總會亞洲巡迴賽導賞遊 3/2023
我們的學生在3月23日參加了香港高爾夫球總會舉辦的亞洲巡迴賽導賞遊，地點位於粉嶺香港高爾夫球會。球會的教練帶領學生了解高爾夫球的基本規則和技巧，讓學生們能夠更好地理解和體驗這項運動。此外，學生們還有機會在現場觀賞高水平的比賽，感受到比賽的緊張與激動，並增廣了視野和知識。

Hong Kong Golf Club Asia Tour Guided Tour 3/2023
Our students participated in the Hong Kong Golf Club Asia Tour Guided Tour on March 23rd at the Hong Kong Golf Club located in Fanling. The coaches from the club led the students to understand the basic rules and skills of golf, allowing them to better understand and experience the sport. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to watch high-level matches and feel the excitement and intensity of the competition, broadening their horizons and knowledge.

我們在3月16日舉辦了第17屆校運會，感謝香港高爾夫球總會行政總裁賴以尊先生擔任主禮嘉賓及致訓辭。本次活動除了田徑比賽外，還有親子競技及接力賽。共有46個個人賽、6個親子賽、7個接力賽，讓1至6年級學生、家長及老師參與。啦啦隊比賽分為A至E班組別。今年首次設立「KYS 體育精神獎」，旨在培養學生核心價值和團隊精神。

The 17th School Sports Day 3/2023
On March 16th, we held our 17th Annual Sports Day, with Mr. Danny LAI, CEO of the Hong Kong Golf Association, as the guest of honor and keynote speaker. The event included not only track and field competitions, but also various parent-child and relay races. A total of 46 individual races, 6 parent-child races, and 7 relay races were organized for students from  P1 to P6, parents, and teachers to participate in. Cheerleading contests were divided into Classes A to E. This year, we introduced the "KYS Sportsmanship Award" to cultivate students' core values and team spirit.

學校與家長教師會合辦的主題公園親子旅行已於 3 月 11 日圓滿完成。當天共超過 500 名學生和家長參加，透過這次活動，成功增進了親子關係，加強了家校溝通。 

Theme Park Parent-child Trip Concludes Successfully 3/2023
The theme Park Parent-child Trip, co-organized by the school and the Parent-Teacher Association, concluded successfully on March 11th, with over 500 students and parents participating. The event not only strengthened parent-child relationships but also enhanced communication between families and the school.

🛤️  校運會、戶外學習活動及教育營家長會 3/2023
隨著社會在疫後復常，本校亦開始陸續復辦各項走出課室的學習活動，以豐富學生的校園生活體驗。學校於 3 月 9 日舉行了家長會，向家長介紹在 3 月內所舉行的校運會、戶外學習活動及教育營安排。當天共約 260 位家長以現場或線上方式出席本家長會。

Sports Day, Outdoor Learning Activities, and Educational Camp Parent Meeting 3/2023
As society returns to normalcy, our school have begun to resume various learning activities outside the classroom to enrich students' experiences. Our school held a parent meeting on March 9th, introducing the arrangements for the sports day, outdoor learning activities, and educational camp scheduled in March to the parents. A total of approximately 260 parents attended the meeting, either in person or online.

從2月13日至2月17日，校方特別為學生設計了一週的學習活動，活動主題為「對幸福的探索」，旨在讓學生有機會對「更好的未來」作出探討及培養他們具備「明日領袖元素」。課程統整週的課堂按日常時間表進行，並按不同年級的課程融合多元化的學習活動，包括實地學習、團隊合作、文化體驗等，帶領學生到流浮山消防局、綠在元朗、屏山文物徑、龍躍頭文物徑等地學習、體驗和成長。透過這些活動，學生不僅能夠增進自我認知和自我管理能力，還能夠提升團隊精神和豐富他們的學習經歷，以達至全人發展的目標。

Curriculum Integration Week 2/2023

From February 13th to February 17th, the school designed a week-long learning activity for students with the theme "Acquaintance with Well-Being". The activity aimed to provide students with opportunities to discuss "a better future" and cultivate their "qualities of the leaders of tomorrow". The classes during the Curriculum Integration Week followed the daily timetable and integrated various diversified learning activities into different subjects, including field trips, teamwork, and cultural experiences. The activities took students to visit places such as the Fire Station, Green in Yuen Long, Ping Shan Heritage Trail, and Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail. Through these activities, students not only enhanced their self-awareness and self-management abilities but also improved their teamwork spirit and enriched their learning experiences, in order to achieve the goal of holistic development.

IT Elite Training Program Award Ceremony 1/2023
A total of 60 P6 students from our school participated in the IT Elite Training Program organised by the Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Secondary School. They learned 3D modeling, programming, and information technology application skills. All participating students successfully completed the courses and received certificates at the award ceremony held on January 14th.

學校每年為各級學生舉辦兩次生日會，以促進關愛文化和提高學生的歸屬感。本學年第一次生日會已成功舉辦，第二次將於5月份進行。1-2年級生日會分別在11月15日及5月23日（星期二）；3-4年級生日會分別在11月29日及5月9日（星期二）；5-6年級生日會分別在11月8日及5月2日（星期二）。

Student Birthday Party Schedule 11/2022
Our school holds two birthday parties for students of all levels each year to promote a caring culture and increase students' sense of belonging. The first birthday party of this academic year has been successfully held, and the second one will be in May. The  P1-P2 is parties are on November 15th and May 23rd (Tuesdays); the P3-P4 grade parties are on November 29th and May 9th (Tuesdays); and the P5-P6 parties are on November 8th and May 2nd (Tuesdays).

KYS Participates in Language Learning Support Section of the Education Bureau Annual Sharing Session 05/2022
