Our school motto is: "Be knowledgeable and tenacious of purpose". To realise the stated motto, we aim to equip students with broad-based knowledge and visions, and the capabilities and versatilities to act in times of difficulties and charges with perseverance and strong will. As stated in The Analects. Zhang Zhang articles, Tsze-kung said, "There are learning extensively, and having a firm and sincere aim; inquiring with earnestness, and reflecting with self-application; virtue is in such a course." It is significant how learning should be pursued to lead to mastery of blending and integration of knowledge and virtue.

S c h o o l M i s s i o n

In accordance with the education policies of the Government and complying with the student-centred belief of the IMC, our school provides all-rounded quality education to nurture students to have integrity and righteous beliefs.

We expect to operate with a systematic school administration management, an appropriate, lively and creative formal/ informal curriculum with comprehensive moral education. A variety of implementations are thus equip students with proficient language skills, potentials in all aspects, an array of generic skills and knowledge along with good characters, thereby developing a solid foundation for subsequent academic progression to secondary schools.

Given the rapid development of modern information technology and the varying changes of values for the growth of the new generations, we are not only responsible to equip students with the relevant knowledge and skills but guiding them to understand and establish proper moral concepts and correct values. As Yan Yuan, in admiration of the Master's doctrines, said, "The Master, by orderly method, skillfully leads men on. He enlarged my mind with learning, and taught me the restraints of propriety." Primary Education plays a significant role in establishing students' proper attitudes to life and encourages them to tide over their difficulties with perseverance and strong will in order for them to become future masters of society.

Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee School Limited

Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee have served Yuen Long community for almost 70 years. During these years, we move with times and are responsible in improvement of the Yuen Long District and Shap Pat Heung environment, in which the development of education, arts and culture has always been one of our main objectives. In light of this, our current and former executive committees and village representatives have become the Primary and the Secondary School Supervisors, School Managers and the members of the Parent Teacher Association Committee, showing the effort and quality in contribution of the development of education.

Above all, as we put our mission, 'educate the youth' into practice and to provide a quality education to students, we established Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee School Limited in 1978 and successively apply to the Education Department for commencement in operation of Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Primary and Secondary Schools.
