研究課題：ハイパーデモクラシー：ソーシャルマルチエージェントに基づく大規模合意形成プラットフォームの実現

研究概要：本研究では、ソフトウェアエージェントと人間が一緒に参加するSNSでの民主主義（ハイパーデモクラシー）のためのプラットフォームを実現する。ここでは、合意形成の基盤としてのSNSに、人間の代理のエージェントを分散配置し、合意形成プロセスを仲介する（ソーシャルマルチエージェントシステム）。そして、炎上、フェイクニュースなどの課題を解決しながら、より良い合意形成や集団意思決定を支援する。

研究課題：複雑な交渉環境におけるマルチエージェントの創造的な合意形成アルゴリズムの実現

研究概要：本研究では、複雑な交渉環境におけるマルチエージェントの創造的な合意形成アルゴリズムを実現し実世界応用する。ここでは、合意案が事前に明らかでない状況下でも新しい合意案を創造的に生成する交渉アルゴリズムを実現する。例えば、実世界では当初は合意案がない状況下でも、話し合いをして、新たな論点やアイデアを集め、それまでにはなかった合意案を見出し、合意に達することは多い。本研究では、現実の不確実な状況を表現できる新しい動的交渉空間モデルを提案する。エージェントは、深層強化学習を用い、人間も気づかない創造的な合意を実現する。以上を用いて、エージェントに基づく合意形成支援システムを実現し、実世界に応用する。
研究課題：Measuring Group Interaction in Online Discussions and Application to Autonomous Agent Deliberation

研究概要：In this project, we propose to study the interactions between humans and artificial agents that maximize collective intelligence. Understanding the dynamics behind symbiotic interactions in online discussions is a viable way to foster intelligent deliberation and build smarter deliberative agents.
研究課題：議論の形式検証を実現する論理的手法の研究

研究概要：機械学習の手法を用いた議論AIの開発が進む中、AIの挙動が議論の趣旨に合致するか、その公正性・適切生を保障することが課題になってきている。現状、人が議論の社会実験を行い、それに基づいてAIの挙動を調整しているが、調整に係る人的コストは非常に大きく、汎用性の問題もある。そこで、AIの挙動の統制を自動化するために、本研究では、「議論検証」という、プログラム検証の枠組みと数理議論の枠組みを融合させる研究領域を創出する。具体的には、議論の仕様を任意に記述可能とする形式言語を導入し、議論が仕様に沿うかを自動で検証する手法を構築する。これを通して、AIの発言の公正性・適切性の自動検証を実現する。
研究課題：Proposal on discussion element-specific deliberation based on autonomous agent facilitation for consensus building in complex society

研究概要：In this project, facilitation consensus policy subclass is constructed for agent to lead discussion. Three aspects are included: consensus policy during first phase of discussion for social issue prioritization; consensus policy after need assessment for issue-solving; and consensus policy for pros of idea and cons of idea. Based on this method, proactive agent will characterize conversational agent to start from raising issue-prioritization, move with issue-solving mediation, and ends with argument over identified ideas pros and cons deliberation.
