On Wednesdays during early release times and on Fridays, students are offered a variety of clubs. Calligraphy, Sewing, Gaming, Culinary, Aviation and Jewelry making are just a few of the fun and engaging activities that are available. Students make our calendars and survey other students to decide what clubs work and what changes need to be implemented, enacting student voice and choice into the program.

  • • Astronomy/Chemistry/Engineering/Science Fair Participants

• Game Club

  • • Video/Electronic games from different eras and from different systems, Board Games and Card games for those interested. We learn about sportsmanship and competitive play. 

• 3D Printing/Coding

  • • Learn basic concepts about coding and design while creating and learning how to create 3D objects.

• Independent Art Club

  • • Painting, Sketching, Clay, Beading, and more is at our student's fingertips.

• Sewing Club

  • • Every other Tuesday, students learn how to sew from our talented teacher Ms. Robbers!!!

• Bike Club

  • • Students learn bike safety while traveling with their friends on community adventures. 

• Garden Club

  • • Volunteer/Learning opportunity at the Senior Center Garden.

• Anime/Film Club

  • • Learn about Mendocino's Film History. Anime Club rates appropriate anime and discusses the cultural/historical differences and themes (as well as over all plot narratives and art) seen in anime selected. This is a build up to SanAnime panel discussions. 

• Cosmetology Club

  • • Students learn about hygiene, hair design and nails using manikins, hands on experiences, and video tutorials. This is a pre-vocational club with a focus on exploring this as a career pathway. 

• Sports Club

  • • Help our athletes keep a competitive edge on their particular sport. We attempt to provide the necessary equipment and time to allow them to practice during the off season for their sport with friends. 

• Career/Next Steps

  • • Beginning career explorations with virtual job shadows into careers of interest for our youth. Students can obtain their Food Handlers certification (which is a great 1st step in career prep).
