About me
About me
My name is Tomwareti, I am married and have one daughter only. My father’s name is Kabetite from the islands of Tamana, North-Tabiteuea, and Beru. My mother’s name is Tarom’a from the island of Tamana. I was born in the fifth day of May 1997. Currently, I am now 26 years old, and this is my second year at KTC.
Background
I am a kind-hearted and socialize person and I usually like working with children. Since childhood, I always dreamt of being a qualified and quality teacher teaching child of my beloved country, Kiribati. Recently, being a teacher trainee is a great opportunity for me to fulfil the dream I have been dreamt of. Overall, I am shortly tempered and feel shy sometimes but as long as I am in KTC, I could manage to overcome these weaknesses of mine as I have learned a lot as part of my training of being a professional teacher.
Education
I attended the primary level for 6 years at Bareaumai Primary school starting from 2003 to 2006 on South Tarawa, and from 2007 to 2008 I continued my primary level at Margret Field Primary school on the island of Tamana. Right after then, I started my junior secondary level from 2009 to 2011 at Nawai JSS on the island of Tamana. There I graduated for completing 3 years at the junior secondary level and received my Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) qualification. In 2012, I entered the senior secondary level at the William Goward Memorial College (WGMC) where I received my Kiribati National Certificate (KNC), and in 2014, I received my Kiribati Senior Secondary Certificate (KSSC) at King George V. In 2015, I gained my last certificate as well as my highest qualification that is the South Pacific Form Seven Certificate (SPFSC) at the Sacred Heart College (SHC).
