ENGLISH III APPLICATION – 2 semesters; 1 credit—11 This course focuses on literature and writing. Students will study American literature and authors focusing on theme, style, and other literary elements. Students will read and respond to short stories, novels, plays, poetry, and nonfiction works. Students will interpret various works and express how these pieces relate to them personally through journaling and discussion.
