Students will learn basic human development and behavioral characteristics in this class. They will focus on the factors that impact human growth and development and the strategies to promote growth.

Dual Credit Program

This class teaches students how everyday foods and exercise trends can help maintain a healthy body and lifestyle. Students will learn how to eat healthily and prepare good meals in the food lab, while also focusing on aerobic activities and strength training in the fitness lab.

In this class, students will explore basic cooking skills, while also learning how to prepare their food with a flare and make them visually appealing. Students will also learn safe food handling.

This class teaches students to work as a team to prepare and conduct food experiments. They will explore everything from the stages of candy making to the process of cheese production.

Students will learn the basics of sewing by designing and constructing sewing projects while also learning about careers in the fashion industry. This class also covers the historical and cultural influences of fashion.

This class prepares students for lifelong decision-making, problem solving, critical thinking, and other skills related to health and wellness issues impacting individuals and families.

This hands-on class focuses on life after high school. Students will learn how to live on their own, explore housing options, create healthy meals, and how to care for clothes and cars.

Students learn the skills needed to create and design using the elements and principles of design. They will learn how design impacts mood and how to incorporate trends with designing spaces. Activities involve planning, designing, and furnishing.

This class gives students the essential skills for personal money management. They will learn about budgeting, saving, debt, credit, as well as education, housing, transportation, and investing.

In the first semester, students will learn the foudations and overview of public education, effective teachers, responsibilities of schools, and essential professional competences. In the second semester, students will act as an intern at a local elementary school, applying teaching methods, lesson planning, and classroom management.

This class is designed to promote mental health awareness and well-being. Students work to reduce mental health stigmas while learning emotion regulation practices.
