Careers in Family & Consumer Sciences center on improving everyday life through skills in nutrition, culinary arts, human development, financial literacy, and interior design. Students gain practical, real-world knowledge that prepares them for careers in education, hospitality, human services, and community-focused professions.

In the first semester, students will learn the foudations and overview of public education, effective teachers, responsibilities of schools, and essential professional competences. In the second semester, students will act as an intern at a local elementary school, applying teaching methods, lesson planning, and classroom management.
