ʻO Leayne Patch-Highfill koʻu inoa. I was a military kid that has lived all over. I went to elementary school on Oʻahu and my dream was to move back to Hawaiʻi one day. That dream came true 19 years ago when I moved to Volcano on Moku O Keawe to study birds.
I am lucky to continue to live in the rainforest of Olaʻā with my husband Jim and 11 year old daughter Harper. We love travelling the world to experience other cultures. However, due to travel restrictions, we are learning to rediscover our beautiful home.
I have been with Kamehameha Schools for 12 years. During this time, I have played the role of a Science Literacy Resource Teacher as well as a Literacy Coach.
I am beyond excited to have this opportunity as an Instructional Coach to support our amazing and dedicated kumu so they can best serve your keiki.
