Kumu Alohi Ahuna

I am Alohi Ahuna and my one hanau looks out towards the mokupuni of Manana and the pali of Makapu’u.

My husband and I raise our two daughters in the shelter of Kulepeamoa in Niu Valley Oahu. This school year my hiapo will be entering the 2nd grade and my muli loa will be entering Kindergarten.

For 11 years I worked in the DOE public school system supporting students in the Honolulu District and then I joined the Kamehameha ohana in the fall of 2011.

I have had the privilege of stewarding Pauahi’s mission in my home community of Waimānalo at Blanche Pope Elementary for the past 9 years. Our community education efforts supported Common Core Writing, Next Generation Science Standards and HĀ/Na Hopena A’o.

O ka pilina ka mea nui…

Relationships are of the utmost importance, I look forward to building pilina with your ohana and your keiki and I am grateful for the opportunity to support your keiki during this semester of Distance Learning.
