It is recommended for college applications that students ask a core teacher (English, Math, Social Studies, Science) or a teacher that is relevant to the field in which they want to major in. Students should only ask for the appropriate number of LOR's that the college or scholarship is requesting. For example if the college is only asking for 1-2 LOR's that is what exactly should be requested and submitted. Typically, LOR's for college applications are requested and submitted by a teacher(s) and a counselor.
Essay:
Some colleges may incorporate a personal essay or give a prompt or list of prompts to choose from. The essay is a very important piece to the application that students need to spend some time on and incorporate the assistance of a teacher or professional family friend to review and give feedback on.
Some essay's give a minimum of word characters
Every junior was assigned to complete a personal essay in junior seminar. We did two edits of it in class. Please get at least one more person who understands professional or academic writing to review your essay one more time and make edits.
Highly selective schools will also require additional essays.
