Students who may take an SAT or ACT test for college admissions, must put in the request to have their scores sent directly from the testing organization to the college admissions office. For most colleges and universities, if a student took more than one exam; the institution will take the highest score from each exam. More selective schools (Ivy leagues), will take the highest grouping.

Although, some colleges and universities do not require a SAT or ACT score for admissions they may use the scores for any of the following: class placement, merit scholarship or WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) eligibility.   Students and families should inquire with each college and/or university accordingly for what they require.

Requests are made on the College Board or ACT sites, under the students account.

Families should double check with each college the student is applying to if they are test optional or not, or reverting to "No Testing"
