Seniors from Kamehameha Hawaii may apply for scholarships if the live in Hamakua.
Universities or Community Colleges in Hawaii or on the mainland.
Award is based on leadership, service and participation in extracurricular activities. Service may be to family, school, church or community.
The community college scholarship aka “the Taka scholarship” requires only a demographic sheet and an answer to 4 questions.
The university scholarships require a list of all activities and a 1-2 page essay on how you will continue to serve your community after college.
Both scholarships need 1 letter of recommendation.

HGEA - Hawaii Government Employees Association Scholarship
Sam Haskell founded this annual scholarship with the understanding that many students do not have the financial means to further their education. Sam Haskell is an Emmy nominated producer and founder of Magnolia Hill Productions. He was formerly Worldwide Head of Television at the William Morris Agency and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Sam has been a lifelong patron for higher education and has helped many young people achieve their academic and professional goals.
The Sam Haskell Scholarship will award one high school senior, current college, or graduate student with a $1,000 scholarship.

We would like to inform you that this year's application is now open for high school seniors. Only one application is needed for our National, State and Targeted scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family)
Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
Participation in community service
United States citizenship
