If your school did not supply an ipu (bottle gourd), you can try and access one from the following suppliers on the Continent:
The Caning Shop for gourds, supplies, tools, and books on gourd crafting
Welbourn Gourd Farm for gourds, supplies, and tools
Wuertz Gourd Farm for all kinds of gourds
Alternatively, you can try and grow your own ipu gourd. Hawaiian ipu gourd seeds are available from Maui Seeds for about $5 (Caution: do not grow these ipu near pumpkin or togan squash. The cross pollination will reduce the thickness of the ipu walls making it useless for a musical instrument as it will crumble and fall apart!)
