Other reasons why a marriage may be annuled may fall under the following headings:
1. Impediment
a. A. This is the case arises of a marriage contracted without the removal of a diriment impediment other than that of a prior bond. These impediments render the marriage invalid. These impedeiements are: lack of age, physical impotence, disparity of cult, sacred orders, public perpetual vow chastity, crime, consanguinity or affinity in the direct line. (Canons 1083-1094)

3. Failure to Consumate
a. This is the case of a marriage contracted without the removal (annulment) of a prior marriage bond. This case arises if one of the spouses was already bound by a previous marriage at the time of the marriage in question.
