The SNSI roll is to execute the NJROTC program through the emprowerment of his cadet staff leadership. The SNSI is a retired USN, USMC, USCG service member and holds an instructor certification from the US Navy, teaching certificate by their state (if required), and has achieved at a minimum a 4-year degree from an accreditted university. 

CO is the highest position within the unit. The CO is overall responsible for the units success. 

XO fills in for the CO in his absence. The XO is responsible for the good order and discipline of the unit and overseas all departments.

CSEL is a vital member to the Senior Leadership of the Unit. The CSEL is responsible for the growth and development of their enlisted crew, to be their voice to the CO, and to ensure their needs are met. Addittionally, the CSEL reviews all CPO packages and is responsible for the successfull execution of all unit events.
