The No Outsiders programme promotes an ethos of inclusion and acceptance and aims to prepare children for life in modern Britain. This scheme of work is designed to meet the requirements of The Equality Act of 2010; it also strongly supports the teaching of British Values. The scheme is based around reading and discussing books that cover different issues relating to inclusion and it tries to 'develop responsible, respectful and active citizens' (Ofsted Guidance 2019). Some of the books covered in Year 3 are:

Create a healthy diary, where energetic activities and high-energy food are scheduled for the same day.

Know the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touch and understand that they have the right to say “no” to unwanted touch – even to a family member or someone they know or love.
