Bargaining

Your KPESA bargaining team for 2025 is Joshua Girard (SpEd Para, Seward Middle), Annette Weigle (Custodian & Food Services, Mtn. View), Emma Key (SpEd Para, Kenai Alt.). The team is supported by their assigned NEA-Alaska staffer, Caitlin, and the KPESA President, Susanna Litwiniak (Secretary & Food Services, Moose Pass). They have been bargaining with the District since February 2025 in hopes of settling a fair contract that addresses the following priorities: 

• Equitable treatment of ESPs compared to teachers and admin

• Affordable Healthcare Premiums

• Living Wages

• Staffing Shortage and Workload Issues

Bargaining sessions are live-streamed and open to the public. Members are highly encouraged to attend, if possible. Sessions are also recorded and posted to the District website HERE, as are copies of proposals and articles that have been tentatively settled.
