Dr.P.Karthikeyan was awarded Ph.D in Management from Bharathiar University in 2009 and qualified with SET in the year 2006. Presently he is working as an HOD in Department of Management Studies at Kongu Engineering College. Dr.P.Karthikeyan has a work experience of 23 years (Teaching 21 Years and Industry 02 Years). He has so far produced 17 Ph.D, and 18 M.Phil research scholars. He has published so far 200 Articles (50 articles in Scopus and web of science list). He has authored and edited 15 books in the areas of Management. He has also participated and presented more than 140 papers in various National and International Seminars / Conferences / Symposia. He has delivered more than 150 visiting lecture to the Various Colleges/universities and acted as a resource person/ chaired session for more than 175 various National/International Conferences, workshops and FDPs. 

As a Co-ordinator Dr.P. Karthikeyan has organized Five International Conferences, Four National Conferences, many workshops, trainings, FDP programmes for Faculty & Students and various MDP programmes for Industrialists (Total Contribution to KEC around Rs.20,00,000/-). He has obtained funding from various funding agencies and Government Organisations like UGC, ICSSR, AICTE, NHRC, NCW, MoEF, AIMS, State Planning Commission, ICWA and TNSCST (Total Value Rs. Rs.63,35,250/-). He also does some consultancy works for leading industries includes SKM Egg Products Ltd, Bharani Silks, Angel Starch Chemicals Ltd, Erode and Ascent technologies. (Total Value Rs. 15,00,000/-) He is an editorial board member/Reviewer for 40 international and National Journals. 

He is a life member Life Member of Indian Society of Technical Education (MISTE), Member of All India Management Association (AIMA), Executive Committee Member of Erode District Consumer Protection Centre, Erode and Treasurer for Meiporul Charitable Trust, Erode. He has selected as a Visiting professor in the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Uniglobe College, Kathmandu, Nepal, and Acted as a one of the Project member for Slum Clearance Board-Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) project at Tirupur District, Tamilnadu (Sponsored by NTTTR, Chennai). As a Co-ordinator, the Nutrition survey among Kongu Engineering College Students with the collaboration of Cedar valley Cardiovascular Center in US and “Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan Scheme” at Vadamugam Vellode Panjayat, Erode District, Tamilnadu was conducted.

 Dr.P.Karthikeyan also acting as a Staff Co-ordinator of Citizen Consumer Club in the College. Under his leadership, the college awarded the Best CCC among all Colleges in Erode District for the year 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022. He is also serving as a Board of Studies Member, Member of Planning Cell, Member of Research Committee, Member of Publication Committee, Member of Alumni Committee and Library Committee of the College. As a Co-ordinator of the Social Responsibility activities, the MBA department has got National Award Gold medal from Association of Management School (AIMS) for Social responsibility activities for consecutively three years from 2015 to 2017. He is also recognized by SEBI –Certified Resource Person for conducting Financial Education Workshops and Recognized assessment officer for conducting National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) examination. He is the Alumni of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, where he has done his FDPM course of 4 Months. He has also awarded as Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) certification from AIMA, New Delhi. 

He has received Ramasamy P.Aiyar Best Young teacher Award from AIMS for the year 2011, P.K.Das Memorial Best Faculty award in the discipline Management for the year 2011 & 2016, Best Teacher award from NFED in the year 2013, Best Citizenship Award from International Publishing House, New Delhi for the year 2015, Best teacher Award from Kongu Engineering college for the year 2011 & 2022, Best Researcher Award from KEC for the year 2017, Young Researcher Award from Integrated Intelligent Research, Chennai, Best Performing Researcher award for publication and outside interaction from KEC for the year 2015, Best Performer in IIPC activities in KEC for the year 2023 along with many other prizes. He has visited the Thailand, Srilanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal and Indonesia for his academic and research work.
