My name is Ashley Hirowatari and this is my 7th year at Konawaena High School (9th year teaching, overall). I was born and raised in Kealakekua, and am a proud Konawaena High School alum. I attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and through the National Student Exchange program (NSE), also attended Utah Valley University before returning to UHM to complete my Bachelors in Education degree in Physical Education and Health Education. In 2014 I earned a Masters in Science degree in Adapted Physical Education from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I currently teach PE, Transitions to High School, and Health at Konawaena.
