The District has strictly enacted orders from the Governor’s office and the WI Department of Health related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is the District’s primary source for guidance on practices and provisions that support the control and spread of transmission in the community.
March 13, 2020
Because the safety, health, and well being of our students, staff, and community is our top priority, we are taking preventative measures by implementing a temporary out of state travel restriction on all district related staff and student travel. At this time, this includes district related travel for meetings, conferences, field trips or any other events outside the state of Wisconsin.

Where to Get Tested: Use this Link to find our local testing sites.
Unvaccinated close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case who do not develop symptoms will need to quarantine for 5 days from the last date of contact if you are a household contact, extended close contact (ex: Sleepover) or mandated by Public Health.
If you do not fall under any of those categories of a contact definition, you may attend school and we recommend masking for 2 weeks from the contact.
Unvaccinated close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case who DO develop symptoms, should be tested right away and remain in quarantine. If they test positive, they will need to quarantine for 5 days from the start of symptoms with a masked return for an additional 5 days. All symptoms must be resolved at day 5 or a 10 day quarantine will be required.
Fully Vaccinated close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case may continue to attend school with a mask on.
They are advised to monitor for symptoms for 10 days following the close contact. If at any time symptoms develop, the individual should stay home and call the front office at 920-459-2920 or email the school nurse at johnsrudn@kohler.k12.wi.us

In alignment with the CDC stance that vaccination is currently the leading public health prevention strategy, we will continue to promote and educate on the importance of vaccination.

Masks will be required for riders on all yellow school buses.
Masking is highly encouraged for unvaccinated individuals.
