September 14–18 is College & Career Week at Central! Students will have opportunities to explore their options after high school and take their next steps toward the future.
ENROLL: Get help with college applications, including several FREE application opportunities for seniors.
ENLIST: Meet with military recruiters and learn about career opportunities.
EMPLOY: Get help finding jobs, internships, and preparing for the workforce.
EXPLORE: Juniors, start planning for Job Shadowing Day on September 29 and discover career possibilities!

Who is eligible: For 9th-12th Grade Students
Formerly known as the National Achievers Society (NAS), the program has been rebranded as KAULed 2 the Future to reflect an expanded focus on preparing scholars for college, careers, and leadership.
KAULed 2 the Future is designed to prepare high school scholars for success beyond graduation by building the academic, social, and leadership skills needed to thrive in college and the 21st-century workforce. Scholars will have opportunities focused on academic achievement, college and career readiness, leadership development, college culture and awareness, and personal and social development.
Students may also have the opportunity to participate in Project Ready Mentor, a 1-on-1 mentorship component that provides individual guidance, encouragement, and support as they prepare for their next steps after high school.

WHO: All Central High School Juniors
WHEN: Tuesday, September 29, 2026
As part of the 865 Academies Experiential Learning Model, juniors are invited to step into real-world career environments. Whether you are interested in automotive repair, health sciences, or entrepreneurship, this day is designed for you!
Time Commitment: Minimum 2 hours; Maximum 6 hours at a worksite.
Attendance: Complete the experience to receive an excused absence.
Repeaters Welcome: Shadowed last semester? You are encouraged to participate again!
Don’t have pathway class until next semester: That is ok you can do a student-led one this semester and next semester, too.
Find a Host: Connect with a business, family member, or friend in your career field of interest.
Apply Online: Complete the Google Application (log in with your school account).
Meet the Deadline: All applications must be submitted by Friday, September 25.
Need Support: Talk with your pathway teacher for extra support.
Identify: Help your student find a safe and relevant worksite.
Practice: Encourage them to reach out to professional contacts to build communication skills.
Verify: Confirm they have submitted their agreement form via the Google link.
