Digital Technologies

What we have:

Knapdale utilises Google Apps of Education and various aspects of digital technology

Each student has their own email and are able to complete work online.

Kowhai have tablets that they can use

Matai have a mixture of tablets and chromebooks

Rimu have Chromebooks in a 1:1 environment

How we implement it:

Students and parents are to sign a digital agreement at the beginning of the year as it is important that students have a clear understanding of the tools that they use. Parents and whanau are able to access what students have completed at home also.

We are in the midst of reviewing how we use digital technology and e-learning in our school, so we will update as needed.

There are many facets to read and understand for digital technology and teaching how to use this safely is the first and most important factor with this!

Benefits for this:

  • more engagement from our learners

  • learning how to develop safe healthy technological skills in a safe environment

  • everyone can access - both home and school
