About NIDA
NIDA was founded on April 1, 1966. The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) is the only public higher education institution in Thailand that focuses exclusively on the graduate level (Master’s and Doctoral). With a strong emphasis on Management, Economics, and Sustainable Development, it also has duties in research, training, and other academic services for cultivating wisdom and ethics for future change leaders.
NIDA is considered the first Thai educational institution to offer a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and offers the first MBA program in Thailand. Both Thai and International Programs are offered by 11 Graduate Schools and 1 College.

How to get NIDA
Public Transportation
To get there, you can take the MRT Yellow Line Station 8 (Bang Kapi Station) and then take the bus (No.27) to NIDA. You can interchange at MRT Blue Line Lad Prao Station with MRT Yellow Line Lad Prao Station and take 8 stations to get to Bang Kapi Station. The Public Bus Numbers are 36ก, 60, 71, 151, ปอ (AC) 60, ปอ (AC) 501, and Minibus number 27.
Canal Service
The Saen Saep Canal Express Boat service has a stop near NIDA called NIDA Pier or Wat Sriboonreung Pier or Prommitr Wittaya School Pier. The service runs between Pom Prap Sattru Phai and Min Buri Districts in Bangkok. The Pratu Nam pier in the Pathum Wan-Ratchathewi Districts is a transfer station where passengers change between the Western line, which ends at Golden Mount, and the Eastern line, which ends at the NIDA. By taking this boat, you can go to Pratunam, Central Chidlom, Asoke-Petchaburi, Soi Thinglor, etc.
Directions to NIDA by Car
You can take a motorcycle or grab a taxi to get to NIDA easily and comfortably.
Via Ramkhamhang Road, go straight through the Lamsali intersection. Once at Banma junction, turn left onto Sriburapa Road, and turn left again once at NIDA intersection. NIDA will be on your left.
Via Latprao Road, drive past Bangkapi Market onto Seri Thai Road. Once reaching the NIDA intersection, NIDA will be on your right.
Via Ramintra Road, turn onto Nawamin or Seri Thai Road toward Bangkapi. Once reaching the NIDA intersection, NIDA will be on your left.

NIDA provides its scholars and students with state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance academic, physical, and personal well-being. NIDA's campus is designed to support graduate education and research, offering a range of facilities:
Library
Nida has state-of-the-art libraries that have won numerous national awards and are fully equipped with campus-wide facilities that support and enhance students’ learning capacities, ensuring that each has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The main library provides extensive academic resources dedicated to social science studies, equipped with the latest technology and resources to support lifelong learning and resource sharing.
Academic Service
In terms of academic services, NIDA provides academic services to government agencies, state enterprise organizations, the private sector, society, and the community in four major areas: Siripattana Training Center, NIDA Consulting Center, Sustainable Development and Sufficiency Economy Studies Center, and NIDA Poll.
Research Centers
In addition, NIDA houses several research centers focusing on areas such as public affairs, tourism, and environmental studies facilitating specialized research and development.
Classroom Facilities
With innovative classrooms and advanced equipment, NIDA is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of today’s academic environment, accommodating various modes of instruction—onsite, online, and hybrid—in settings of all sizes.
Technology
For technology and connectivity, NIDA operates four computer labs, three designated for classroom instruction and one for walk-in use. Additional labs are available when the walk-in lab reaches capacity, provided no classes are in session. Free Wi-Fi access is available across the campus through 120 wireless access points, ensuring seamless connectivity for personal laptops and devices. A NetID is required for secure identification.
Physical Well-Being
The campus also prioritizes physical health and fitness. It offers a range of facilities including an indoor gymnasium, outdoor fields, and a fitness center. Med services are available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and on weekends from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Internal medicine consultations are provided every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, while psychiatric consultations are available every Sunday during the same hours. Services are not available on public holidays.
Parking Facilities
NIDA supports convenient commuting with extensive parking facilities, including a seven-story parking structure for over 700 vehicles, a two-story underground parking area at the Navamindhrathiraj Building with over 400 spaces, and additional parking around campus buildings. To promote sustainability, four electric vehicle (EV) charging stations branded "EA Anywhere" have been installed, reflecting NIDA’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
