The University of Kelaniya is deeply committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduce Inequalities, as outlined in the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We recognize that fostering an inclusive and equitable academic environment is essential not only for individual empowerment but also for the collective progress of society.
At Kelaniya, we strive to address and reduce various forms of inequality economic, social, and institutional by promoting fair access to education, supporting students and staff from marginalized and underrepresented communities, and implementing policies that uphold dignity, diversity, and justice.
Through initiatives such as the Centre for Disability Studies, Coordinating Centre for Students with Disabilities (CCSD), inclusive infrastructure, scholarship programs, and targeted support services, we work to ensure that no one is left behind. Our focus extends beyond campus boundaries to advocate for inclusive development, accessibility, and empowerment across Sri Lanka.
By fostering inclusive education, eliminating discrimination, and creating opportunities for all, the University of Kelaniya plays an active role in building a just, stable, and sustainable future where everyone has the chance to thrive, contribute, and reach their full potential.
