Made for performance, not durability.

Highly recommended for students who are serious about high school band.

Beginner instrument works great for marching band.

Music stores will allow you to test and compare before purchasing. 

If you are in lessons, talk with your instructor about it first. 

Recommended to consider, but not required. The instrument doesn’t make the player. 

In middle school, flutes, clarinets, alto saxophones, trumpets, and trombones can start considering.
