Mr. McKee is in his twelfth year of teaching and is returning as the director of bands for a third year at Krimmel Intermediate. Mr. McKee graduated from Sam Houston State University and also completed his masters degree at UT Arlington. Before coming to Krimmel, he taught band at Mayde Creek Junior High in Katy ISD for ten years.
Mr. McKee's primary instrument is the trumpet, and he teaches the french horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, Symphonic Band and Cadet Band classes.
Mr. McKee has a wife Rowina who also taught in Klein ISD as an orchestra teacher at Doerre Intermediate. Together they have two children, Isaac and Benjamin, who they love dearly.
Ms. Arnold is excited to return for another year at Krimmel Intermediate. She is entering her fifth year as a band director, and prior to Krimmel has served as an assistant band director at Ulrich Intermediate. She has enjoyed getting to work with everything from beginning band to the high school marching band.
Ms. Arnold graduated from the University of Houston in May 2021. While at the University of Houston, she studied flute with Mrs. Melissa Suhr and participated in the Moores Wind Ensemble, Spirit of Houston Band, Moores Opera Orchestra, Ballet Orchestra and Full Orchestra. Ms. Arnold is a proud member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Association of Music Education, Kappa Kappa Psi and Sigma Alpha Iota.
Before coming to the University of Houston, Ms. Arnold grew up in Cypress, TX and is a proud graduate of Jersey Village High School.
Ms. Arnold's primary instrument is the flute, and she teaches the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone and percussion classes.
