This tool helps teachers create decodable texts tailored to student needs. Designed primarily for K–2 classrooms, it can also support students in grades 3–5 who have foundational reading gaps. To use the tool, teachers first select the target skill from a dropdown menu, then enter the Grade, Module, and Week from the HMH Structured Literacy Scope and Sequence that aligns with the student’s current level. The tool will generate an appropriate decodable text, which teachers can revise as needed to best meet student needs.
This tool helps teachers generate inclusive classroom management strategies that support the needs of all students. It also offers practical ideas for working effectively with paraprofessionals. Aligned with practices from Conscious Discipline, the tool promotes a positive and collaborative classroom environment where every student can thrive.
