Middle School Theatre TEKS (Texas Educational Knowledge & Skills)

Beginning and Introduction to Theatre: (Mrs. Duty)

• Class Fee $25, paid on www.schoolcashonline.com

• Come dressed in clothing you can easily move in.

• Girls, if you cannot raise your hands above your head without showing your stomach, then your shirt will not work for a Theatre class.

• Participate joyfully and respectfully

• Performance Fridays

  • Major grade earned every Friday

  • Perform for all Theatre Classes

• In Class Play in the Spring

• Participation and/or Rehearsal Grades Earned Weekly

Intermediate Theatre: (Mrs. Richardson)

• Class Fee $25, paid on www.schoolcashonline.com

• Come dressed in clothing you can easily move in

• Participate joyfully and respectfully

• Voice and Diction

• Movement

• Characterization

• Oral Interpretation

• Play Structure

• Facial Expressions

• Performance Fridays

  • Major grade earned every Friday

  • Perform for all Theatre Classes

• In Class Plays

• Advanced Theatre Only (Mrs. Duty & Mrs. Richardson teach this class together)

  • Everything listed under Intermediate Theatre plus all listed below

  • 3rd year Theatre Students only

  • Headshots and resumes

  • Auditions

  • One Act Play Festival Saturday, April 2022

• Participation and/or Rehearsal grade earned daily

Technical Theatre (Mrs. Richardson)

• $25 Class Fee must be paid on www.schoolcashonline.com

• Set Design

• Costume Design, basic sewing skills

• Sound Design

• Lighting Design

• Props, Thermoplastics

• Stage Management

• Publicity

• Supports Lip Sync Show, One Act Play

• High School Tour
