KLEB THEATRE EXPECTATIONS
Remember that you chose to take this class, and we are glad you are here!
Mrs. Duty and Mrs. Richardson are both your teachers whether or not you are officially in their class. They work together to make Kleb Theatre a focused, creative, professional, fun place to learn. You are expected to be a part of that goal.
Be prepared! We want you to focus your energy on becoming a better actor and designer. Actors, remember that Performance Friday is a major grade.
"Be an actor directors want to work with." Make decisions that would make you a valuable asset in any Theatre program.
Excellent Audience Etiquette is expected when students are working in groups, warming up, participating in student and artist led workshops, and when observing a performance as an audience member.
Please dress appropriately for Theatre class. Kleb dress code applies in Theatre. Girls, if you cannot fully raise your hands above your head without exposing your stomach, than your shirt is not long enough. You will be moving in Theatre.
Utilize class time! If you earn the privilege of going outside to rehearse, remember you are on camera and stay on task. You will lose the privilege if you are not doing what is expected. If you need further clarification on what those expectations are, please ask.
Alley Theatre visits: BEST behavior is expected! Participate joyfully, make eye contact, sit up straight, send good energy to the presenter. You will be removed from the workshop and receive a zero for not participating correctly.
During a Fire or Disaster Drill, remain silent and follow all teacher instructions. Other emergency situations will be discussed in class. We want you to feel safe. Please take all discussions and drills seriously.
