Getting to Know Our New KJS Students (Mini-Me Families and All About Me Booklet)

We believe that deep connections, a true sense of belonging, and overall wellbeing are the heart of what we do at KJS. We are dedicated to nurturing these values for all of our students and families, from their first day to their final year with us.

To help us with this, before your child returns to school in August, we have two tasks for you to do:

Mini-Me Families (instructions)

In the early years, children learn best through play, and what better way to celebrate their unique identities than by bringing their families into the classroom?

By creating Mini-Me Family characters, your child will have the chance to share their home life, culture, and routines with their peers, helping us get to know them—and their wonderful families—even better.

Here’s how (see examples below):

These mini-families will help your child explore identities, roles, routines, and storytelling while building confidence and social skills. Please send them to school on your child's first day back in August.
