Our KS1 students truly dazzled us with their wonderful Christmas production, Santa’s Setbacks. It was clear how much effort, enthusiasm and teamwork had gone into preparing for this special performance.
The children confidently craned their voices, mastered their storylines and fully embraced their characters, bringing the festive tale to life with charm and energy. Each scene was filled with excitement, laughter and the true magic of Christmas, capturing the hearts of everyone in the audience.
The show highlighted not only the students’ growing confidence and performance skills, but also their ability to work together, remember cues and express themselves so beautifully on stage.
A huge well done to all our KS1 performers for wowing us with such a memorable show. Thank you also to the staff who supported the children behind the scenes and to our families for their continued encouragement. Santa’s Setbacks was a festive celebration to remember and a perfect way to end the term on a joyful note!

Y1NL had a wonderful time taking part in a special reading buddies' session with our Year 5 pupils this month. The older students joined us to share stories, read aloud, and listen carefully as the Year 1 children practiced their own reading skills. It was lovely to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they paired up and settled down with a book together.
The Year 5 buddies did a fantastic job being positive role models. They showed great patience, encouraged the younger children to sound out tricky words, and asked thoughtful questions about the stories. This helped to build the Year 1 children’s confidence and made reading a fun and relaxed experience. Many of our younger readers were very proud to show how much they have learned so far this year.
These buddy sessions are a valuable opportunity for both year groups. The Year 1 children benefit from extra support and encouragement, while the Year 5 students develop their leadership, responsibility, and communication skills. We are very proud of how well all the children worked together and look forward to continuing these reading buddy sessions in the coming weeks.

This month, our KS1 students learned about different artists and reflected their ideas wonderfully in their tasks. The students also enjoyed decorating Christmas cards and cookies, and it was lovely to see how engaged they were in each activity.
We look forward to seeing everyone in Term 2.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
