In Science, the year 1's have been learning about our senses. Last week we focused on our sense of sound. The children learned about how sound travels. The children made a string telephone and tested them outside. They took turns talking and listening to each other. We answered questions such as what happens when the string is not straight? Our Year 2 students have recently embarked on an exciting journey of discovery as they explored the world of biographies. They've learned what a biography is, its purpose, and the essential features and language that make this genre unique. Through engaging activities, they have not only grasped the intricacies of biography writing but are also applying their skills by researching, planning and now ready to begin writing and presenting biographies of their own.
