Dear KISU Community,
As the initial half of this term swiftly approaches its end, I am filled with immense pleasure reflecting on the myriad achievements and blossoming initiatives that have enriched our community. Together, we’ve embarked on this academic journey with vigour and the palpable impact is a testament to our collective efforts. I must extend a heartfelt commendation to our Elite Swimming Squad. With training sessions commencing at the break of dawn, their dedication epitomises the spirit of excellence that defines KISU. Similarly, the energy within our lively and colourful assemblies encapsulates the vibrancy of our community, where every achievement is celebrated and our international ethos is embraced with open arms.
This week, we delve into Kindness and Anti-Bullying Week, complete with a range of engaging activities aimed at reinforcing our zero tolerance for bullying, whilst affirming our commitment to the holistic well-being of every member of our community. I warmly invite all parents to the Health Camp, facilitated by CASEMED on Wednesday 4th October from 2pm to 5pm, and the Wellness Parent Workshop on Thursday 5th October at 8am. Sign up here.
Your voice is important. I encourage parents to contribute your invaluable insights by completing the Parent Survey. The insights you provide will guide our school development agenda.
Please update your contact and your child’s medical details on Ed-admin. Accurate, up-to-date information is essential in safeguarding the well-being of our students, especially those with specific medical conditions.
As we near Uganda Independence Day on 9th October, we are celebrating the rich tapestry of our host nation’s history and culture in lessons and assemblies. It’s a vibrant testament to the diverse and inclusive ethos of KISU.
With the half-term break from 9th to 13th October on the horizon, I extend my warmest wishes for a restful, rejuvenating, and safe holiday to each of you. Here at KISU, we are more than a school; we are a thriving community underpinned by mutual respect, shared triumphs, and collective aspirations.
Warm regards,
Lee Wilson
School Director
