At the start of Term 2, we have had a 97% of DP2 students complete their university and college applications, marking a major step in their post-secondary planning.
The students have applied to a wide range of institutions across multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Dubai, Cyprus, among other international locations.
We are also delighted to share that some students have already begun receiving offers from universities and colleges. The College Counselling team remain fully engaged in supporting each student through the coming stages, awaiting further decisions, comparing offers, and navigating next steps such as acceptances and scholarships.
A huge congratulations to Djenneba Bartell, who has received a $52,000 USD scholarship to attend the University of Rhode Island, USA!
Planning is already underway for the KISU University/Careers Fair, scheduled to take place on Thursday 17th September 2026. This event forms a key part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students as they explore future academic and career pathways.
The university/careers fair will bring together universities and colleges from a range of global regions, offering students opportunities to engage directly with admissions representatives, learn about different education systems, and gain insight into programme options and entry requirements.
Students from various year groups will be encouraged to attend, enabling them to begin early exploration and make informed decisions about their post-secondary plans. Further details regarding participating institutions, schedules, and student access will be shared closer to the event date.
To strengthen our students’ university applications, we have recently updated our University/College Profile. This offers universities and colleges a comprehensive overview of our academic framework and student support structures.
The profile (included below) provides institutions with a clear understanding of our students’ academic achievements within the IB framework, as well as the learning environment that has shaped their development. It highlights key elements of the school’s mission, academic rigour, and previous student results/university admissions.
