By default, your SMART Display comes with one HDMI cable and one USB-B cable connected to it. These two wires are used to provide a video signal and touch functionality (if applicable) to devices such as your laptop or document camera.
Take the HDMI and USB cable and plug them into the appropriate ports on your laptop.
On the home screen of your SMART Display, tap the "Input" button and select the box that contains your laptops image.
There are two different types of document cameras in the district - one of which utilizes HDMI, and the other utilizes VGA. Your SMART Board supports both connections, however the connection process will be a little different.
If your document camera has a port that looks like the first image, your camera supports HDMI. To connect this camera to the display, simply connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI2 port on the left side of the display.
Then, tap 'Input' on your display's home screen, and tap the box that contains the document camera's image.
If your document camera has a port that looks like the first image, your camera utilizes VGA. To connect this camera to the display, connect a VGA cable to the VGA port on the bottom of your display.
Then, tap 'Input' on your display's home screen, and tap the box that is labeled "VGA".
Incase you have any additional devices you need to quickly connect/disconnect from the display, the convivence panel contains an easily accessible HDMI and USB-B port.
Your SMART Display has the ability to wirelessly connect any device to it. When wirelessly connecting, the image quality is not as sharp as it would be if you were directly wired. You also lose touch/pen functionality while wirelessly connected.
To start, tap the "Screen Share" button on your display's home screen to start the screen share app.
Open the "SMART Mirror" app on your iPad/iPhone (if you do not have this app, download it from the App Store).
Enter your name and the session ID shown on the SMART display.
Once you're connected to the display, tap your name in the connected list and tap "Invite to Present".
On your iPad/iPhone, tap the circle to share your screen.
You're now mirroring your iPad/iPhone to your SMART display.
This example was done using a Chromebook, but the process will be the same on a Windows PC, Mac, or Chromebook.
Go to smartmirror.link on the device you are trying to wirelessly connect. Enter the session ID on the display as well as your name.
Once you're connected to the display, tap your name in the connected list and tap "Invite to Present".
Tap "Share my Screen" and then select whether you would like to share your entire screen or just a certain window (like in a Google Meet). Once you've made your selection, click "Share".
Your screen is now being shared to the SMART display.
