Thai people know that Songkran is a big festival! In the primary building we had a contest called “Songkran door decoration”. The Songkran door decoration was a challenge where all our grades, from EY1-G5, participated in. The challenge was to decorate the classroom door in a Songkran theme. Our winners this year were EY2 and G4B. They had a very creative design! They won a prize and all the students got house points for their effort and participation. Not only did we have to create a door design but students were also free to wear a Thai shirt or a Songkran shirt. Thai teachers wanted us to design things to help us inquire into how we could represent the Songkran festival.

Hi, today we are going to be talking about house day. House day was a day in the year where the students represented their house. We did fun activities for each class and each activity gave students house points, and whichever team got the most points won the exciting house competition. Each class had different teachers lead the acitivities. These teachers belongs to the students' houses. The teacher might not be your regular teacher, but it was a good experience for the students and the teachers because they had new experiences of learning and teaching. If they made mistakes, that was OK because mistakes help us succeed in life, and they helped us work together and be on a team. House day was a good way for everyone to feel happy and excited. Personally, house day was a good day.
