Teacher Access System (TAC) – A browser-based (on the Internet) student information system used by teachers to take attendance, enter grades, locate student contact info and load progress report and report card grades.
Supported Browsers for TAC:
It is recommended to use most updated version of Chrome.
Supported Devices for TAC:
PC, Mac, iPad, iPad Mini, Android tablet, Windows table (Surface), 7" tablets with a minimum 768 px width, Chrome Book
Setting up a VPN to access TAC from home - see below document
The TAC website can only be accessed on the KIPP Delta internet. If you would like to access TAC from home you can follow directions on document or email WIRED! (support@wired-ar.com) and they can set up a VPN so you can access from home.
If you just reset/setup your AD Account password wait 15 minutes before signing into TAC.
First, confirm you can sign into your AD Account. (If unable to sign in then follow appropriate steps to reset/setup AD Account login).
Navigate to https://tac23.esp.k12.ar.us/TAC
You will be prompted to enter your username and password
Username = same as AD Account username (5440first initial last name with no spaces. Ex. Megan Balla = 5440mballa)
Password = same as AD Account password
Click "Login"
Select KDPS from the district drop down menu.
Click "Ok"
Save the TAC URL to your browser favorites. TAC can also be accessed through Clever.

You can locate student’s contact info in TAC by simply clicking on student’s name (on class roster page, gradebook page, etc).
You can view report card grades at any time for a course by clicking on the RC icon (paper with A+ icon) then click the RC icon again.
Teachers should enter attendance into TAC within 10 minutes of start of period (HS) or homeroom (ES/MS)
Teachers can and should adjust attendance codes in TAC for the current day and previous day if needed.
Contact school office staff for how to handle if teacher is absent or needs to adjust an attendance mark from over 2 days ago
If teacher out get sub attendance sheet from office to record attendance and return to office
2 assignment grades per week per student
Setup gradebook for each course using weights/percentages and not total points
UPDATED Gradebook categories: Classwork 40%, Homework 30%, Test 20%, Quiz 10%
In the "weight" column enter .4 for classwork, .3 for homework, .2 for test and .1 for quiz
Progress Reports will run around every 3 weeks
Do NOT select marking periods (MP) when setting up gradebook categories. It should say "default"
M = missing assignment (counted as a 0) and X = exempt from assignment (not counted in grade average)
When setting up gradebook categories make sure to select "exclude missing scores from the average"
Make comments on specific student's assignment when needed
Watch this 40 min Teacher Presentation or jump to specific spots in the video for additional information. Sign in with your AD Account username and password
Use to manage graduating senior's grades in TAC at the end of the school year (quarter 4).
Remember that assignment grades are only included in course average if the assignment is due on or before the current date.
