Math:
HMH Into Math (homework is done primarily in class). Students will have a separate book for them to work on their homework. If students don't finish, they may take it home to complete for the following day.
i-Ready Math: Students are expected to pass 2 lessons weekly. They may use class time or they may finish at home. They will have 6 days to complete the two lessons.
REFLEX: Students are expected to complete 3 green lights weekly. Once fluent with their math facts, students will work on 1 mission weekly in FRAX, which is a part of Explore Learning Products . The username is: ahill1180

Journeys (HMH)-Reading
ThinkCentral : This is located on CLEVER. ThinkCentral is a platform from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) that provides teachers and students in grades K-6 with access to digital materials for HMH programs.
Shurley English-*new to 4th graders. Shurley Grammar is a unique tool, specifically designed to help students master the parts of speech and sentence structure.
Greek & Latin-*new to 4th graders. This also supplements are curriculum as students will learn latin and greek roots to aide them in growing their vocabulary.

In addition, we've adopted the Hockman method to supplement our writing in every subject.
Accelerated Reader (AR)-*new to 4th graders. Students have a wide variety of books at their interest and level available to them. Each student will set a goal for reading quarterly in an effort to boost their comprehension and fluency. Students will take tests to monitor their understanding. Tests can only be taken at school.
Social Studies & Science
Social Studies🌐 : HMH
In this discipline, students will be exposed to history, geography, government, citizenship and economics. The first two quarters the fourth graders will focus on this subject. Projects may require some in home support.
Science🔬: Mystery Science
In science, students will focus on the Next Generation Science Standards as it relates to organisms and how they perceive and process information, physics as it relates to kinetic and potential energy, ecosystems and ecology and its effects on mankind. Third and fourth quarter will focus on this discipline. All projects will be done at school, as time allows.
