Introducing Wellbeing Wednesday!
Now more than ever it is really important to take time for ourselves and this is why we are introducing Wellbeing Wednesday.
Every Wednesday we will be sharing a wellbeing activity for you to try at home. The activities will be aimed at the children but parents please join in too!
Remember to email any photos or videos of what you get up to each week at eyfs@kingsrise.org
As we are finally coming back to school and finding some normality we thought it would be a nice idea for you to make a ‘Things to Look Forward to Jar’.
To do this, all you need is a jar, pencils and paper. Simply write down or draw a picture of the things that you are looking forward to be doing soon!
This could be playing with friends, seeing your grandparents or having a picnic!
Can you colour in the fire service picture on the left?
See if you can stay in the lines.
Perhaps listen to some calming music too!
Can you make a calming jar?
These are jars filled with water, glitter, sequins - whatever you like. The idea of a calming jar is to encourage children to relax and self-regulate their emotions.
Click here for some instructions on how to make your own calming jar.
Can you have a go at joining in with some yoga?
Click here for a yoga video.
Have a think about what makes you happy and talk about your ideas with a grown-up. Draw an idea into each of the thought bubbles. Some example could be playing with your favourite toy, cuddles with you Mum or Dad and eating pizza! You can add a smiley, happy picture of you too.
You could listen to some relaxing music here whilst you complete this activity.
