About Us

'Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.'

Pablo Picasso

The Gallery

The Cave is administered by Kingsmead Primary School on behalf of the Northwich Education Partnership, a group of primary and special schools who work together for the benefit of children and young people in our community.

Cave artists

The Cave welcomed work from young artists in our area: primary, special and secondary school pupils, college and university students and young people being educated at home, either through lockdown or in elective home education.

Since schools returned post pandemic, the Cave has become a virtual gallery space for the Northwich Education Partnership and Kingsmead Primary School.

Website

Our aim is not to teach art but to offer a space where children and young people can share their work freely and safely. We use a website and not a social media platform to encourage participation from children and young people of all ages. Free from seeking likes and affirmation, it is a quiet place for children to share and appreciate their own and other people's contribution to visual culture in our town.

Data protection

We do not retain or share any email addresses from anyone submitting work to The Cave.
