If you could say it in words, there'd be no reason to paint

The Arts have been with us for as long as we have been. When our ancestors lived in small groups in caves they drew and painted the world around them. Like us, they wanted to make their mark and record what they observed and imagined. The study of English, Mathematics and Science are core to the National Curriculum in England. The Arts are core to what it is to be a child. Through the Arts people participate actively, making their mark in and on their community ~ an entitlement for every child.
