Class overview:
In 7th grade Social Studies, we cover the Eastern Hemisphere. We start with some basic world geography before shifting gears. Then we move on to learning how to study history by using primary and secondary sources and using perspective. Next, we move on to early human beginnings and work our way through the river valley civilizations (Tigris/Euphrates, Yellow/Yangtze, Nile, Indus), ancient Greece, Rome, Byzantium, Persia, Kushan, Chinese Dynasties, Mauryans/Gupas, Vikings, Mongols, Early Middle Ages, Charlemagne, etc.
In short, we learn A LOT. And I mean A LOT!!!!! I try to incorporate as many project-based activities as I can. I try to focus on problem-solving/critical thinking work too. I promise the kids and I will have fun. I love my job and I love my students.
BE GOOD!!!
