Mr. C Social Studies

Students will draw the shapes of the continents on colored paper. Then they tear out the shapes. DO NOT CUT THEM OUT WITH SCISSORS!!! Then they are to glue the shapes onto the larger blue paper.

Then they must label or include the following:
--Each continent

--4 Oceans

--The Equator

--The Prime Meridian

--The Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn

--Make a Compass Rose

--A map Title

--A map Scale

Tips:

--Make sure that where the Equator and Prime Meridian cross each other that it's in the water and not on land.

--The Equator goes through the top of South America

--Europe hangs over the top of Africa

--Try to make the continents roughly the right size. Asia should be the biggest
