COMMITTEES
In a Model UN conference, participants are divided into committees, each of which focuses on a specific topic or issue related to international affairs. There are typically three committees at a conference, each with a different focus or level of expertise. Participants in each committee are typically assigned a specific country or delegation to represent and are expected to research that country's policies and positions on the topic at hand. They then participate in debates and negotiations with other delegations to develop and pass resolutions that address the issue. Participating in committees is a key aspect of the Model UN experience, as it allows delegates to develop their research, negotiation, and public speaking skills while engaging with complex global issues.
